  1. Sorry about that, read the general posting rules but didn't notice the "penalty threads" you have below.
  2. Liverpool are a broken toy. They could probably play Peterborough and still lose at the moment. They need something to bring that confidence back up.
  3. She's been kicked out of the league. I wonder what she's like in the bedroom. You shouldn't. She'd probaly rip it all off from your body. Would be unpleasant. Instead of giving you an STD, she would give you an ACL.
  4. The derogation of the law won't be retroactive by the way, which means that players currently benefiting from it will still pay 24% tax for 5 years since the signature of their contracts. So Cronaldo and Messi won't be signing for ManCity yet (although I'm not sure Messi even benefits from the law, since he's been here for so long).
  5. Spanish footballers already pay 43%. The law applies to any foreigner that moves to Spain and earns above 600,000€/year. It was enacted to entice foreign elite workers to migrate to Spain, like CEOs, financiers, researchers, etc... and we ended up with Beckham and Cronaldo.
  6. Mandià sacked from Racing, who knows, this could give Xisco more playing time (he's still yours afterall, and it would be good if he retained some resale value). Navas called up for Spain, after he said he's overcome his homesickness problems and made himself available.
  7. Atlético had this season where they were sponsored by a movie distributor, and they wore the logos of movies that were being released. I remember Spiderman, Hellboy, etc...
  8. Highlights from the BYU - New Mexico game from the women's soccer league in the US. I shall make no more jokes about women playing football after seeing New Mexico's number 15 in play. She makes Roy Keane look like a sissy. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4628040&categoryid=2378529#
  9. Aaron Hughes, I have distant flashes of him playing against us in the CL. Sidwell is the ginger Iniesta.
  10. Sidwell ain't bad, but he has that weird expression that seems to say "what the hell am I doing here" every time I see him.
  11. ...and Tom Huddlestone, that kinda came out of left field. Cahill from Bolton again in the squad, and still haven't got the cap. When we sold Cahill I was absolutely gutted. I still think he will be a top, top player. But yesterday against us, he was absolutely awful. The sort of performance which would have international managers running a mile. I watch Bolton often He is a bit streaky, but has the potential to be a top defender. Experience will bring consistency. I think that in your game he was too obsessed to prove a point and took too many risks (sometimes he seemed to spend more time in your box than in Bolton's)

  13. I must say that I thought he was finished when he got that injury after moving out of Arsenal, but Pires still can get the job done.
  14. Just realized that Everton has Heitinga, Hibbert, Yobo, Distin, Baines and Neill at the same time in the pitch. That's six defenders...
  15. Hope Hull wins so Phil Brown gets a lease of life, he's too fun to have around.
  16. One of the things I despise about Liverpool is how it's the favorite English club of the Spanish media (particularly Madrid's), just because Benítez manages it, and if you're Spanish you're expected to want them to win.
  17. Any word on Modric's fitness? I would really like to see him play again.
  18. In my opinion: Modric. Plus a loss of confidence after a first string of bad results.
  19. They did the rounds last season & some came up with the classic of something along the lines of "it is how latin lads hang out". I don't grab other guys' nipples and kiss them in the mouth. How do you think Spanish football and the fans would react if he was to admit bisexuality, I know there are questions over Ramos and Guti famously dated a transvestite. He'd never see the end of it. Some population segments in Spain are still pretty homophobic. Although since he's a secondary important player in a small club, he could be well ignored (i.e., Guti gets lots of abuse because he plays for Real) Is there any openly gay footballer, by the way? Going back a bit, but Justin Fashanu was openly gay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Fashanu Hell, what a sad story.
  20. Dunno, guess it will be good if it wasn't considered a thing that has to be kept as a secret. But I guess it's not worth the hassle for a footballer. Sergio Ramos shags a pretty fit bird, btw.

  22. Not really, it was a live chat. I guess he's still coping with the loss.
