Nothing much has changed, let's hope Liverpool get something today. I was looking at our run of fixtures coming up, got me a bit worried like. We've already peaked, I don't think we'll climb above where we are now for the rest of the season (assuming the manager keeps his job). You don't think we'll climb above 16th? Hadaway. Another spectacularly dramatic statement. I think we'll get a point if we're lucky from the next eighteen available so I don't see us climbing the table from here. We've already had the easiest run of games we'll see all season and made a complete f***ing mess of it.  WTF?!?! Sorry to double quote, but this has really astounded me, this part of your post. Really? Can't see three home bankers in a row anywhere else on the fixture calendar, feel free to point it out though. It's not so much that as it is the fact that you think it has been "...a complete f***ing mess". We have probably got one point less than expected from these games, maybe 3 if you count those 3 "bankers" as games you expected us to win all of comfortably. Little bit extreme to be honest. Villa at home, plus the 4 games after sees us with a similar run of games to be fair, later in the season. Just think you're going a bit over the top with those sort of statements. Might as well resign to relegation now, ay? Of course it's been a complete mess, that's kind of why we're 16th. And you're bloody right I expect to win all of those games comfortably. Wouldn't say resigned to relegation but certainly resigned to being close. Alright then, so did you "expect" a win at Villa? Depends what you mean by 'expect' really. I expect Newcastle United to be in a position to win most away games against teams of that level. I didn't think we'd beat Villa on the day though, no. I think it's fair to say we maybe expected a draw at Villa. So we got 2 additional points from that. We - according to you have dropped 5 points at home, meaning in total we're 3 points behind where we should be. That's one game, and that one game is pretty much the Hull one. Hardly a catastrophic situation yet is it? I never said "catastrophic" did I? I think we'll be in a similar position to last year, a struggle to stay up, which is basically what I said in the first place. Think you actually said we wouldn't rise above 16th for the rest of the season. Mind-boggling.

Sure he'd be a handy Championship striker. Hilarious at this level.

Nay idea but thankfully the season doesn't end after 12 games.

Forget it. We can't beat them, not under this bloke, he tells us often enough. We've beaten Man U and Chelsea under this bloke. You're focusing too much on a couple of shite comments. We have a terrible record against them recently because they're a lot better than us. A lot of teams have a terrible record against them. Probably won't beat them, but there's no need to whinge in advance.

Eeewwww, you're disgusting Mr Flash.

Will be incredibly disappointed if we throw away a very good opportunity to progress. 2-0 win. -
NUFC Fans Forum - No interest in winning cups
Foluwashola replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
The main difference being squad depth. Chelsea last night changed nearly the entire team and gave a debut to forth year old man, yet walked through. Gubbed Valencia in that cup we want nothing to do with too. The same cup Is this the same competition in which we easily qualified from the first round, beat Anzhi, and provided a stern challenge to Benfica despite our troubles in the league? Our approach to the cups is identical to every other team in the league. Very true. The main problem is the owner's efforts to get away with having the thinnest squad possible, rather than the general approach on a matchday. -

Despise the board and whoever this cat is, but the waffa performance indicates we at least have a mild interest in cups. Will reserve my meltdown until after tonight's match. -
Couldn't give a shit if anyone is anti-Defoe tbh. Calling him 'bang average' is just plain wrong.

It's definitely odd like. He's a striker who gets goals when given game time. Would kill to have had him as an option over the last few years. Maintain that if he hailed from Spain the very same people would be singing his praises.

His whole career changes this fact like. The argument has been overdone I know. He's an English goalscorer, the natural enemy of the football hipster.

Poyet's ceiling so far is Championship play-offs. He's an average manager and an utter creep to boot. Poyet, McLeish, Pulis....... all would deliver the megalolz. How is poyet a creep? Just look at him man. Slimy. Proper school gates lurker. And Pardew's sexings go totally unnoticed. Different kind of sexpest. Pardew is a player, the ladies want him. Poyet fishes knickers out of bins.

People, myself included, have spent months arguing the same points and crossing sides now would be a dangerous game. Bloods n crips shit. Ian W comes out all Anti-Pardew and Inochi will be forced to terminate the bastard. I'm happy to ride the Pardew wave until say the end of November. Think general play has looked a lot better this season. Hope is all we have as Newcastle fans.

What about before that? Since Wigan (3rd Dec) we've won home games in the last 10 mins 5 times out of 6. Turtle domination. Fucking hate winning games in the last few minutes me like.

Not averse to Taylor coming in at all. The defending against Hull was a disgrace and Taylor is a very decent PL defender, regardless of the Man City hysteria.

In my view it's people saying things like we regularly lose at home when winning or even that embarrassing home defeats are frequent occurrences or that we haven't beasted anyone, who is trying to reassure themselves that Pardew is doing a much worse job than in reality. The truth is much more prosaic, we're a dull mid-table team that has peaks and troughs and a couple of players that can give us a smile. Things could get a whole lot worse if we bring another manager as bad or worse than Pardew. But I don't think things can ever get any better as long as Ashley is here. Spot on. It's impossible to get excited by the prospect of a new manager as there still going to be shackled by Ashley. We take the risk, sack him and things will either become marginally better or far worse IMO. He's an average manager, we all know that, but the main issues lie in the boardroom.
