Spurs Sacking a decent coach and possibly appointing the best around instead within days. Us taking an age to sack a guy about as much use as a teabag in a tsunami and leaving a guy who was head assistant coach or whatever the fuck during a period of the worst shapeless,styleless period in my time supporting (1989) to take charge of more than one game whilst struggling to make an appointment is not a good look.

I dont hate him, just think if hes manager for any period of time were fucked. If he stays on as assistant to a strong manager im happy, same if he went to another role. I think he obviously has something- but should not be the main man.

Thats fair, but what i meant was at that point in time he was young and progressive by the standards of said time. You cant truly judge Howe, Potter and Parker vs the Pardew we now know and love now. They are all at different stages in their career. I think Parker has a long way to go. Howe did a great job at Bournemouth for a number of years but then was relegated. Parker has had a promotion and a relegation but hasnt achieved what Howe has. Potter so far seems to be showing he can do more than just keep a small club up, but again early days. Personally if we go english we should gamble and go for Potter in my opinion. Id prefer someone non British if only because of the media. Sad to say this as my happiest times were with Keegan and Robson as manager.

At one stage Pardew was considered quite the young progressive coach- at reading and west ham. It was his personality that tended to fuck things up as opposed to his coaching

From what i hear - Graeme Jones had a huge amount of input since he came in, and bar the days off thing- the style of football & the weird selections etc is unlikely to change.Now i know the bar is so low that we see making them come in to training more as an improvement yes but i would be very very worried if hes here for more than/longer than the chelsea game.

Not much info available on him is there? What exactly is his background- he keeps banging on about the many anti-competition cases he has taken… is he some sort of professional agitator?

This is a problem. Were kind of sleepwalking to relegation. Because our entire reason for existing currently as a club is not to win matches. Not to be the best we can be. And because we play ok at times appatently its ok

At the bar at half time a watford supporting mate said to me that he thought theyd do well to get a point: i said theyd beat us. Why? Their strikers. If we switched off at all tbey would score. And they did. Second half we werent awake yet and ighalo pounced.
