I think hes a very good player He has great potential Hes very young But hes not what we need at the moment . Much like jon dahl tommasson weve bought a young player with potential to go on and have a good career, but the player is one we have no idea how to use properly and one we are expecting too much of. On train back from watford. Few obvious observations: We dont have goals in us away from home at all. Ive seen and played in sides like this one who can dominate games but dont have a striker who elevates teams from average to good. First 15 minutes 9 of our outfield players made them look like a pedestrian side. All very nice and pretty but no cutting edge watford came into the game and despite looking much less fluid (even with out weird formation) had the better chance. Why? Because ighalo and deeney are mobile, hard working and create chances for themselves. Mitro doesnt look mobile enough to play up top on his own. I think he has bags of potential but hes not enough to keep us up currently. Mcclaren cannot manage games. Watching the warm ups the only player i saw blackie talking to was thauvin. Cathro had them doing some lovely looking drills at tail end of warm up but before that he looked barely interested. All the french subs looked like the most dejected isolated and half hearted group pre game. Reminded me of that clique in school who kept to themselves and did things half arsed cos noone was watching or cared

Surely this type of behaviour is completely contrary to the spirit of competition? Almost half a season left and we are not going to take those 16 games seriously enough to appoint a manager? I honestly think we are heading down the Glenn Roeder route here again. There is no point saying oh keep hughton get a manager in the summer- as if we are promoted Hughton will keep the job. Well be rock bottom by xmas theyll sack him and well be in another state as per usual. If we dont get promoted then,well then I would imagine we will have a new manager. I can see what people are saying with the dont upset the apple cart bits,but I honestly, nice guy as he is, dont think Hughton should be our manager.long or short term.Personally though I think we will struggle a lot sooner than people think- I know this league is poor,but I have a feeling that we may have been found out already and the better teams will not be bullied by our physical midfield and will run at us at pace- getting behind our slow midfield.We will hit a sticky patch at some stage. In fact we might even be at the beginning of one with the two 0-0 draws-then there is also the risk that if we are not sold Ashley will sell a couple of players in January and the loan replacements we get in will not be enough to get us up.
