aren't we getting ahead of our selves talking about carroll getting in the england squad, especially after two games ? I only ask because i have had similar thoughts but something inside me thinks something will go wronl.

Any one else jealous of the atmosphere that seems to be created at other countries ? I know i am after watching those two videos. Why can't we create an atmosphere like that ? Is it our culture ? Do we not care about football as much as they do ?

Also about the "hotch potch stadium". Our stadium is both bigger in size and better in design than their's i know ours looks a bit odd but that is exactly the reason why ours is better because it is a stadium with a bit of character instead of being just a bowl like most modern day built stadiums. It may just be me but i think the SOS is dull and boring.

With Barton, Smith, Guthrie, Nolan possibly Vuckic and now Gosling Don't we have enough centre mids ? But Smith and Nolan are rubbish And Gosling is injured. The way I see it we don't have a competent defensive midfielder or a creative midfielder (unless Vuckic steps up) - they're all very much samey players. We need to mix it up. You're probably right though, I doubt we'll strengthen there. I was just saying that in terms of numbers we are pretty much full in that area, i agree we need some one with good vision but i can't see that happening. I think Hughton can see the value of having the likes of Nolan and Smith as more than just what they do on the pitch i think he likes them because of their attitude and the effect they have on the rest of the squad.

I think it does have a difference, a big part of football, imo, is about space, less space means teams with good movement will have less time on the ball because there wont be as much space to run in to. However i don't know how much of an impact this will have on us but surely every little advantage we can get we should take.
