  1. Feel slightly smug that I put money on Colombia and Chile to win the World Cup on betfair... Might have to lay quickly though given Chile's possible draw.
  2. Been some terrible crossing in the last 2 games.

    Shola Ameobi

Agree - really odd to actually not want him to do well. Don't get it personally.
  4. Damn - was going to put money on Dempsey for first goalscorer but decided against it.
  5. Stop slagging Shola. He's not your worst player by a long shot He's probably in their top 3 best judging by this..
  6. I think this might be the worst WC match I have ever seen.
  7. Have the Nigerian team put money on a 0-0 draw?
  8. In one game, Spain basically ruined the vast majority of my straight forecast bets. Never thought they would win but had hoped the fun would last beyond the 3rd game..
  9. Not sure what has happened with him - but is anyone going to move for Mitroglou? I couldn't really work out what happened with him at Fulham, but I would have thought you would be able to get him for a decent enough sum?
  10. These straight forecasts for the groups are bloody addictive... the odds just lure me in.
  11. You can do it manually by laying on Argentina. So if the odds go down on Argies, you just lay them £2 or something like that. Cheers - I only put money on Chile on the basis that I thought they would get out of their group instead of Netherlands and hopefully their odds would go down a bit.
  12. Quick question for those who use Betfair - if I have put money on Argentina to win the World Cup and Chile to win the World Cup (2 quid on each one), how do I cash out one bet but not the other? When I go onto Betfair it seems to suggest I need to cash out both bets and not just one of them. Apologies if I have missed something obvious or being a complete simpleton.
  13. Too many bets and too much indecision... I keep loading up bets and then cancelling them.
  14. I don't think you can compare Colback to Jenas. At least Jenas had the potential to be a very good player. Colback doesn't.
  15. Agree with this - he has definitely made his fair share of mistakes, but there's definitely a very good defender in there.
  16. I do think Jenas had the potential to be a better player than he turned out to be. I remember him having an absolute stormer vs Juventus in Champions League (I think Davids ended up being subbed?) and thought that would be the making of him.
  17. Nobody is, per se. What would you judge them on? There isn't anything really until they have had a decent crack at managing a team (which lasts more than 8 games).
  18. Not sure why you would judge a manager by their MOTD punditry - it's a hardly the right forum for indepth tactical analysis and has never been presented as such.
