Good thing with the play-offs is that they're after the season starts, so there will be no way we'll be half cooked which could cause issues. I'm fully expecting Man United to win the final on Saturday, it'll be the most Newcastle thing possible

Very similar to Wissa's goal yesterday, such a clean hit.

So, in La Liga, there is literally nothing to play for going into the final gameweek of the season, all relegation spots are confirmed, the title is sewn up, as is the Champions League places. Hell even the individual Europa and Conference Leagues can't be changed. Not sure ive seen that in a top flight league before.

Hadn't realized Sassuolo had been relegated, that is some full off from what they'd been doing the last few years.

Palace finishing in the top half feels wild

And about fucking time too.

We where never going to do it the easy way where we, as we're Newcastle United and we never do that. Was convinced that we'd finish 8th as Brentford's second went in, but overall we deserved that win, we where the better team overall and from the moment we scored the 4th we saw that out really well, and had shaded of what we did last season when ahead. Bruno and Isak where immense as always, but Hall was MOTM by a distance for me, so calm on the ball, so assured and really good at getting out of tight spaces, he got burned for their disallowed goal at the start of the game but he learnt from that and we didn't see Mbuemo at all really beyond that point, impressive stuff. Tony and Maupey where pricks for their challenges, utter cunts trick the two of them. And finally the season that has felt longer then the one with a World Cup in the middle has come to an end. Thank fuck, i'm exhausted.

Well, i'll take that, quality first half

Europa League clubs no longer filter down too, very winnable. We'd also play 2 less games then the Europa with would be nice from a squad management perspective.

Next years Championship could genuinely be anyone's game, other then maybe the team who doesn't get promoted from the Play-off final who would be favourites next season, every other team should feel that it they get recruitment correct and things full their way, then they could have a shot at going up. As the teams going down arn't particularly scary or strong, and the teams going up arn't either. It's a big opportunity for teams like Middlesbrough or Sunderland imo.

If we are after a new number 1 (personally I don't think we do, and would be more then happy for Pope to stay as such next season), but it makes sense for Pope to move on as he'd be way to good to be a number 2.

Fair fucks to Oxford, given how heavily favoured Bolton where, they have been as comfortable as you could want in this. More then deserving of heading to the Championship for the first time in over 20 years.

Smiv is probably my favourite football creater around, been watching On the Road for the last 5 years, they're fast paced, perfect length and entertaining.

Murphy could have had 5 here

Take that Vizeh slander out of your mouth, the rest I agree with.

Bolton have been really disappointing here, maybe it's nerves, but they've just not shown up at all yet.
-
Ah yes, the guy who started at the San Siro in the Champions League, and has been a regular starter in the Premier League is League 1 standard.
-
Des Buckingham's reverse mullet tactic paying dividends here.

I'd really like Bolton to do well, as they've been on really hard times and a club of their size shouldn't be in League 1. But then I remember that Thogden supports them, and that feels goes away
