Pretty dominant.
-
Get in! While that wasn't an amazing game of football, and far from our best performance, we still dominated that game for large parts of it, and on another day would have won more comfortably, that said getting through, and maybe more importantly carrying on that momentum we had before the break was what mattered most, and we've done that. Also, whoever was in charge of directing the coverage on the game wants shooting, was awful.

Is it just my feed, or do the crowd sound flat as all hell?
-
Well we've dominated for the most part, but they're content to just sit back and soak up pressure, we could/should be a couple of goals to the good, it does feel like we're ever so slightly undercooked which is understandable, but carry on as we are and we'll win.

Howe's not messing about, perfect in two senses, its hopefully gets us through the cup, and gets our first 11 competitive football before the Premier League restarts.

Literal full strength.

The more i've thought about it today, the more i'm glad Argentina won it, the scenes are just something else, the unrivaled passion and pride each and every one of the people on the streets of Buenos Aires had/have is second to none. I can't think of any European nation that would have produced similar scenes of emotion, god forbid what would happen if we ever won it. I think the only nation that would come close is Brazil tbh. I keep watching that drone video in awe, its utterly incredible.

We definitely need a system like this: https://i.gyazo.com/4c8f5b5888fed2f96962249a3dfc9b29.png Imagine a 31st vs 32nd play-off, will be carnage

Similar sort of thing can happen online too tbh, look at something like The Kick Off who's main schtick is continually having "heated debates" between people who have differing opinions on various things, they regularly used to get 15 thousand concurrent viewers, and nearly 500k subscribers on YouTube. Whereas someone like James Allcot, who is very good at the tactical analysis, and offers insightful information about how different teams setup and why they may or may not succeed only gets on average a couple of hundred viewers when he live streams, and only has 200k subscriptions on Twitch. The average person just wants to be entertained, as apposed to having to think analytically tbh.

We've not won a trophy in well over 50 years, I'd take us dropping to 17th if it meant we won the League Cup. Finishing 4th isn't a memorable, winning a trophy is.

That was a great montage

Time for a BBC closing montage.

I've not quite "felt" this World Cup, just due to events surrounding it, however the actual football has been quality all over, and it'll rightly go down as one of the best on record.
