There's not two defensive midfielders though 3 last week, 2 this week. Count. Who are the two defensive midfielders? Unless Anita isn't playing on the wing as per the team sheet then there's only Hayden. And Anita. He's a DM, not a winger. He's about as much a winger as Colback's a striker. I agree that Anita shouldn't be playing and get your point that he'll offer nothing, but we're not setup playing a formation with 2 defensive midfielders. This was my point given that people are saying the formation is setup negative. It's not, we just have a shit player on the wing that we don't want there (because Ritchie had a knock). We have a player on the wing that can't do anything going forward, that's the point No it's not though, people are say we are set up negatively, with two defensive mids, when were not. No matter who is playing on the wings.

It's actually a perfect balance, if the player actually perform anyway, Hayden can sit in deep and mop up, Shelvey can distribute the ball forward and Diame and attack and be the creative playmaker. Other then Anita its a good setup, it's probably more a 4-3-3 then a 4-2-3-1.

Well he had a pre-match fitness test, so maybe he wasn't fit enough to start, but enough to make an impact from the bench of needed.
