Don't be bowing anywhere. One thing I hate is two posters arguing because one is defending me. Just plow on and ignore it, and enjoy DCL.

Honestly think it was the first Red vs. Blues. Created an unbreakable bond.
-
I feel like I need to make something clear. I don't "go on here" to do anything. I live here. Don't ask me how it happened.

I'm not gloating man. I like to have a bit of a laugh but gloating isn't my thing. Call me a fool but I think players will be attracted to our project. Same goes for Newcastle. Yes we're a big club, and yes you'll get good money at us, but I think there's a huge appeal to be part of the team that gets us back into contention.

Well I never said those words exactly. I do like Hojlund and think he can be a success though. I would just rather we spent this sort of money on an energetic midfielder, as I think that's a bigger concern. There's a lot of risk involved with Sesko and zero guarantees he hits the ground running. Huge fee I think, and I'm uneasy about it.
-
It's hardly gloating to say that I think both projects are appealing.

Or work for a dude who has won 7 trophies in his first 5 years as a manager, including ending a 19 year wait for a league trophy with Sporting. A dude who's about to enter his first full season with Man United and is giving you the opportunity to spearhead their forward line. Score 15-20 goals and get us back into Europe and you'll be seen as a God. It's all about perspective really. I personally think both projects are appealing. Anyway, this cunt made his mind up yet?

We've been scouting Sesko since he was 16.
-
I think it's a 50/50 decision for him.
-
What do we think? Full verbal agreement with both clubs but somehow agreed to way less with Newcastle? You'll be offering the same as us.
-
Where does it say we're offering more?
-
Haven't Romano etc. been reporting that personal terms are no issue to either club? To me that reads like you'll offer him what he wants.
-
You're offering a higher transfer fee and the same wages though?
-
He tweets more about clubs that will bring him the most engagement and therefore the most money. That's all it is.
-
Word on the streets is that this is Shadow Puppets. Love him calling us United too.

Mark Goldbridge is a persona. His name is Brent Di Cesare. He rage baits everyone, including Man United fans. He says something that will rile you up, you'll share it, people will watch it and he'll make another million this year.
-
Looks like Brent has reeled in another one.

There's some truth in what you've said, but not all of it. It's true that over the past few years, especially in the grossly mismanaged Woodward years, we used a revolving credit facility to fund transfers. This facility was maxed out at £300m by the end of 2023. We tend to pay this down over the course of a season. £120m was paid off this recently after Ratcliffe's cash injection, but it currently stands at around ~£200m. So there's ~£100m in available credit. I believe our cash balance was sitting at ~£75m this summer before any incomings. That's why we try and negotiate fees in instalments, and use the cash flow to fund the transfers rather than borrowing anymore credit as that obviously increases club debt and subsequently interest. Cunha - £62.5m, paid in three instalments, so £20.8m cash this summer. Mbeumo - £65m, paid in four instalments, so £16.25m cash this summer. If we wanted to, we could use the £100m on the revolving credit facility and go and buy Sesko outright. That's what we would have done in the past, but that's why we're in this mess now. Interest is killing the profitability of the club so I believe INEOS are trying to get this down as much as possible while still trying to remain competitive. In terms of running out of money though? No, not even close.

Deadline day more than likely for Sancho, Antony and Malacia. Probably only £15m or so I'd say for Sancho & Malacia but another £20m a year saved in wages. Antony I've no idea what will happen as he only wants Betis but they can't afford him and we only want a permanent transfer. Garnacho will go earlier. It's a world cup year and he's on a low enough wage. I think if Garnacho/Chelsea try and fuck us about with that one to drive the price down then we'll dig the heels in as he's signed a new deal not long ago.
-
Which is the right thing to do from a Leipzig perspective to be fair. Personally think getting Wissa, Sesko & £30-40m in exchange for Isak is great business.
-
Yeah Laurie Whitwell and Andy Mitten are our two most trusted sources. Mitten especially as he's very close with the players.
-
I think we would still have room for more but it's risky since we haven't sold any of the outcasts yet. We've made over £20m in sell on clauses this summer. £15m off the books from Rashford's salary. Then Garnacho, Sancho, Antony and Malacia will all leave the club. Casemiro's book value drops off as well which is another ~£30m saved in the accounts. Think we have a lot more wiggle room than people realise. I'm not even factoring in sacking more dinner ladies.

The Athletic reckons we think the price is too high whereas Romano reckons we're waiting on the green light from the player. Latter sounds bollocks to me, as I don't think Newcastle would be bidding these amounts if they didn't already have a green light from the player. All guesswork but I don't think we're seriously involved in this and expecting a "here we go" for Newcastle in the next 24-48 hours.
-
We have the money to sign him now. We would just need sales to satisfy PSR next June if we drop another £70m on a striker.
-
Decent sources close to us said we didn't want to match your last bid never mind this one. Think you've got a clear run at it.
