I'm just impressed you understood the reference.

He has 120m+ followers across his socials. Find it very hard to believe that only 2/15 Italian football addicts knew who he was. He might be annoying but he is ubiquitous.
-
Oh I didn't realise you were directly comparing him to Cantona. If he gets anywhere King Eric I'll be delighted.
-
If you've been underwhelmed by Cunha I'm not sure you've watched him much. He's been absolutely class. Miles better than Mbeumo as well. His ball-carrying is frightening and even when he's not having a good day he picks himself up and never shies away from the ball. I actually can't believe there were concerns about his work-rate, mainly because of that walking stat that was floating about. He's like a dog. A bit part of us performing much better this season is that all of the new players never stop working. The only signing for us better in the summer was Lammens.

Feels like it sometimes.

Massively Howe in as well. He adores him. Would rather sell every player before getting rid of Howe.
-
The Newcastle fan in work says he'd sell everyone except Lewis Hall. I asked even Bruno G and he said aye. He said if Hall was to be sold he'd be raging if it was for any less than £80-90m.
-
Would obviously love Hall as a long term replacement for Shaw, but I certainly wouldn't be rubbing it in. Personally don't think he's available for a price that our board would even come close to considering. I'd have thought £70m and they'll never spend that on a full back.

I'm 16 years in Kenny. This is mild compared to what we've been through on here.

@Yorkie Newcastle didn't get Ederson cos PSR?
-
Not what I say, for the 50th time.

It may be, but certainly in our case it never seems far away from what is reported by our tier 1 sources. I see it as being at least slightly more reliable than say Optimistic Nut on Newcastle Online. We need to use something as a guide. I think it's as good as any as all it does is go by media reports and collate the information.
-
Nope, I just use whatever figures are reported, usually from Capology. For us and every other club. That seems quite fair to me. The only time I'd say anything different is if it's directly reported by someone like Laurie Whitwell.
-
David Ornstein tends to be reliable, yes.
-
Who Newcastle? Because that's what was heavily reported in the summer.
-
I think when proper discussion is had, there can be some movement. Kid Icarus has already said a couple of things that made me see things slightly different. There's middle ground to be had.
-
I never once said all clubs are equal.
-
It's one of the most important subjects in modern football to be fair. The way the conversation has gone in the last page or two is quite positive.
-
And you would hand on heart hold this same view if you were still owned by Ashley and Sunderland were owned by PIF?
-
@lovejoy ^ that's a mic drop.

That lad doesn't need help getting assists. He should have had 30.

I've never called you (or the Newcastle fanbase) embarrassing. I have enormous respect for the club, city and the fans, though like many fanbases (including ours) you're not without your sense of entitlement. The dishing out of the cartel line is what I find embarrassing. It's used for every negative situation that you seem to encounter. Yorkie's post here is an example, and Yorkie is one of the best lads I've met, but he's strong with the cartel craic. Every time you miss out on a player, it's because of PSR. In October you were all buzzing that you had Woltemade over Sesko as well. It's stuff like this that I can't have at all. Especially since Woltemade's total fee/wage cost is very similar to Sesko. Money was never the issue, the appeal was. This is exactly what I'm trying to say. I hate the idea of being owned by middle eastern countries with unlimited wealth. Financially, Qatar was by far the better option for Manchester United, but most of us wanted Ratcliffe instead. The thing is, if the rules were dismantled, there's a strong chance the Saudi's would come in for the likes of Liverpool and Man United as well. It would be a complete shit show. I'm ultimately interested in what people think is a better solution to the current PSR regulations. I think they're doing a pretty decent job at stopping it all spiralling out of control.

What was our bad season outside of the Amorim one? The 8th place finish where we played in the Champions League and won the FA Cup? Even the Amorim season we got to a European final and made £60m+ from the Europa League alone. Remains to be seen how much of a set back this season will be for you as well.

Your revenue has grown 140% since 20/21, ours has grown by 35%. If you narrow that down to the last three seasons where we've been poor and you have been excellent (relatively speaking), your revenue has grown by 34% and ours has grown by just 2.9%. The gap is closing, and closing fast.
