  1. Then we have an excuse for Amorim finishing 15th again.
  2. The entire business model is based around the football. The team will always need investment. Doesn't mean you can't streamline the rest of the business, especially when had double the staff of teams of a similar stature. You don't fall further behind by having less dinner ladies.
  3. Think we've been harsh on both our supposedly poor owners. Ashley was splashing out £60m on transfers even when you were in the Championship. Zero thanks for it.
  4. Just some of the perks of being a fucking massive club mate.
  5. No chance. He's not the sort to go to Saudi either.
  6. £43m I think. He's only 22 so a loan would be great I think. Zirkzee isn't a striker as well, more of a #10, so maybe Amorim will want to keep Hojlund. Who knows.
  7. I haven't got the slightest clue. I don't want him to go but I'm sure he'd be sold if a decent offer came in.
  8. Didn't even mean it in a bad way. I think Howe is brilliant.
  9. I see this forum as your fanbase to be fair. All the guys I've met in real life are sensible and I don't remember any of them wanting Howe out, and we talked about it as I was with them after the Brighton defeat. But the week after in the Howe thread there were pages and pages of people arguing for and against Howe. That's all I meant by large portion.
  10. You're not alone. People on here are in denial for some reason and I don't get it. There was a fucking lot of people who wanted Howe gone, and for weeks it was a war between Howe in and Howe out posters. From page 1629 in the Howe thread. After the Chelsea defeat. It wasn't at all. I think it's coming down to the definition of "large portion." That doesn't mean majority. Every page in the Howe thread around that period there were 2-3 posters who either wanted him gone or expressed concern that he wasn't the right man.
  11. There were a lot of posters on here suggesting Howe had taken you as far as he could. A lot. I can remember being shocked at it.
  12. It's really not that simple. A large portion of your fanbase wanted Howe out last season after a poor run, and he ended up winning you a trophy and getting into the Champions League. There's a much bigger picture than just short term results.
  13. It won't be this summer now. Don't think there's anything left without using the credit facility.
  14. That's all it is. We love his hair as well.
  15. It's not the same thing as turning on him. Unless we finish 15th again, I can't see a scenario where he's sacked and the fans agree with it.
  16. We'll never turn on Amorim. Mark my words. We adore him. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out.
  17. Only a keeper and midfielder required and then #21 incoming.
  18. Amorim's won the same amount of trophies in 5 years as Bayern tbf.
  19. Based on everything we've seen, it does look like we were always his preferred destination and he was just showing respect to Leipzig and not publicly declaring it so they would get as high a fee as possible. That tracks now that Ornstein has confirmed both bids were total packages of €85m. If he declared he only wanted us, then I doubt the fee would have been as high. Guesswork though. It's still not announced.
  20. Ornstein saying your bid was €82.5m+€2.5m, so the bids are the same total value at least.
  21. I haven't seen his payslip. Just going by what semi decent sources are reporting. Our tier 1 sources also reported on the wage structure. The thing with wages is that everyone will claim one thing or the other to suit their narrative. You put "Mbeumo wages Man United" into any search engine and the figure that appears is £150k everywhere, yet opposition fans will tell you you're wrong and it's £200k+ for sure. Who really knows.
  22. £150k base aye. Bonus is reportedly £50k. I've never seen anyone quote a players wage to include the bonuses.
  23. Wage structure. Nobody gets that now except Bruno Fernandes. Look at all the signings under INEOS: De Ligt - £195k Cunha - £180k Mbeumo - £150k Mazraoui - £120k Ugarte - £120k Yoro - £115k Zirkzee - £105k Sesko would be somewhere in the middle.
