Ferguson in his autobiography talks about how certain players would try to dictate to him and the club how things should be run and battle with him to get more power. He just moved them on and quickly as well, for the good of MU. We are seeing the opposite at NUFC and have been for a long while, with many of the players just basically doing what they want, Colo, HBA, Cabaye for starters. Pardew hasn't the balls or hasn't the backing to do anything about it. It's ludicrous letting players fly home for a jolly and presumably paying them at the same time. If they are going home for treatment with the world's specialist in their particular problem, that's one thing, otherwise is brainless. Most of the players don't care and don't understand what it means to play for us, all the more reason to treat the bastards with the iron fist they deserve.

I think we all know that we have a starting 11 inferior to the top six, but would like to think we were competitive with most of the others. IMO if you compare Everton's starting 11 with ours, apart from Krul maybe for Howard, and Cabaye somewhere in their midfield, none of the rest of our players would start for them.

In defence of Debuchy he has playing with pretty much the worst defence in the league since he joined last January. Defensively we were terrible last season and so far this season only the mackems have conceded more than us. Can't be very good for his confidence.

The fact that Debuchy plays really well for France shows what a good player he is. The fact that he is generally shit playing for us says a lot more about the club than the player.

At school played with Gary Rowell who you could tell was going to be very good and a professional when he was around 12-13. The best player we had was Neil Richardson who signed school boy terms with the mackems but who never played due to injuries.
