Down to 5 now. Iturbe deal fell through apparently, as did an attempt for Jese from Real. Zaha bid was rejected, but I don't know why we're wasting time with that. Fumble in the dark time. 1 of those 5 is Miyaichi btw, which is all but completed.

No, apart from that GDS is unlikely to go anywhere because Spurs are asking too much and the Spanish clubs that were after him gave up. The two English teams after him (us and Wigan) dropped their interest a while back. Shame, I would have quite liked him at the Reebok.
-
Nicko has said we're apparently in talks with seven players about moves. Not that we'll get them all, mind you, some are back-ups.
-
Ridiculously good signing, if true. How come Champions League clubs aren't after him?
-
Realistically, it's the only way we're going to get our debt down by getting rid of the big earners. Allardyce's 'quick fixes' and short-termism are part of the reason we're in this debt mess. Megson, for all his failings, at least signed some young players with potential sell-on value. Coyle is doing that more emphatically. It's very risky, especially as we're embroiled in a relegation battle, but it's the only way out really.

They offered 250K from what I heard. If Sunderland really want him, then they'll come back with another bid.
-
He didn't really play. Then again he was moaning about not starting a week after joining. He scored on his debut though, like he did for Dijon.
-
I've heard that too. I think we're trying for Zaha from Palace and Iturbe from Porto first and Miyaichi is the back-up when they inevitably fall through. Iturbe is the 'new' Messi though, isn't he? And Miyaichi is the 'Japanese Messi'. All we need then is to get Lionel in for the holy triumvirate.

Luke f*cking Moore scored. Forgot he even existed.
-
We should be 3-0 up against Swansea's reserve team. 9 shots and 10 corners so far
-
Just another example of the mainstream magedia
-
They might be spending money on players but their performances aren't exactly getting better
-
Strange. They need players that are going to come in and do the job straight away. Correct.
-
Imagine a forward line of Heskey and Davies Maybe they'll get both and start them in the derby Ba and Cisse or Heskey and Davies?
-
Well, you've still got most of the Carroll money left, so you can afford a flop/overpriced signing or two. It's the law of averages!

The Mirror (ie. Alan Nixon) believes Sunderland are ready to make a £1.5m bid for Kevin Davies. We'd be stupid to turn that down if it's true - he's 35 this year. His wife posted this on Twitter a couple of hours ago: "'Never thought reading the back page of BN (Bolton News) would give me such a lump in my throat'". It is referring to this article: http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/wanderersnews/9493123.Is_this_the_end_for_Big_Kev_/ Hmm. This rumour might have legs.

Kevin Davies is finished at this level, I'm fully expecting him to leave in the summer and to finish his career at Sheffield Utd. A loan to another Premiership club would be bizarre, and frankly a waste of time for all parties.

Early Bramble-esque levels of non-concentration in him and prone to the odd howler. yt: Philadelphia Union Red Bulls highlights 4/9/11, 7:40 in. Don't see him making the step up tbh. He's interested Coyle, Hodgson and Wenger recently, and Klinsmann seems to think he'll make it. He must have something about him in that case. Then again, as Sewelly said on RedCafe the other day, he might just be a carthorse like he was in the Gold Cup. Time will tell. I disagree with his comments about our transfers being the main problem, mind you. There are bigger issues to address than that. Like the manager? More the over-reliance on 4-4-2, and Davies, Jussi and Robinson's complete loss of form and talent, and of course the injuries. They're all connected.
-
In actual transfers, Blackburn have signed Scott Sutter from Young Boys. Not sure if it's a loan or permanent.

I'm shocked that MO'N is scouting outside the UK! Amazing

Depends what happens in the FA Cup, I think?

How has Ismael Bangoura played for Guinea so far? Heard we might be in for him.

Various wingers and strikers.
