Depends whether we can get a striker in really. Our strike force is Davies, Klasnic and Robbie Blake at the moment! If we do, then we can push for a top-half finish, I reckon. If we don't, then probably lower mid-table.
-
Agree with that, Matt Taylor has been pish for a while. Typical West Ham signing if ever I saw one! He's been a shadow of the player he was since he got glandular fever last year. Idiot fans booing him didn't really help his confidence either.
-
Meh, Eagles and Mears will be decent squad players, certainly better than the players they're replacing. Considering they're only costing slightly more than for what Taylor went for, it's good business. At least we've got depth in midfield now, unlike the end of last season when we had to play a left-back and striker there.
-
Bolton are in talks with Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears from Burnley (£3M fee for the pair agreed) and Nigel Reo-Coker.
-
Unfortunately for you, the one area we're relatively well-stocked in is midfield.
-
I consider the Bojan deal to be akin to a long-term loan, so in that regard it's a good deal for Roma, especially if Barca are contracted to sign him back. It's a better deal for Barca though, as they get a potentially improved Bojan back for a million, and they don't have to pay his wages for the next two years. Works for all parties really.
-
Matty Taylor having a medical with West Ham. £2.2M represents decent value for someone who has frankly been a shadow since contracting glandular fever last year. Hope we can finally get some players in now, we have a squad of about 15.
-
Dresden copying things verbatim from other boards, I see. Works out as a great deal for Roma.
-
We beat them 3-1 a couple of nights ago, reckon you can do a bit better than that.
-
Digging themselves deeper into debt then. You do realise 90% of that debt is to our owner? Anyway, if he rejected Udinese, he's going to reject us. Unless we offer him megabucks. Nice to see we're showing some ambition though. Coyle does seem to like Barca and Real fringe players.
-
Love the delusion in this thread. Keep it up lads.
-
I'm not surprised he's been in the bars and discos all the time, the women in the Caucasus are gorgeous!
-
Few journo's on SSN reckon Villa will come after Coyle if Martinez rejects them, you heard owt? Not really. I think Martinez will join to be honest. Mind you, Coyle would take the job though given the opportunity. If they do approach him, they'd have to pay a hefty compensation fee - we paid roughly 3M for him and his backroom staff from Burnley, and he's on a bigger contract here.
-
We apparently bid for Thiago from Barcelona, but our 4M (ha!) bid was laughed off. Also, we inquired about Cameron Jerome apparently. Urgh. Birmingham want £8M () for him so we ran away. Fast.

COULD GERVINHO GIVE THE QUEEN SWINE FLU?
-
Well, that's the thing. Because the Premiership is good, everyone automatically assumes the England team to be good and writes off anyone else without putting much thought to it. Well, everyone apart from those people in transfer threads who seemingly have an encyclopaedic knowledge of every player in every European league.
-
All of Switzerland's squad played in a top European division. They're hardly a poor team ffs.
-
Looking forward to the outrage by idiot fans and the media.
-
Great business if they can pull that off. Excellent season. Good business for us as well really, Bogdan is a capable sub keeper. AAH is on fairly hefty wages as well.
-
We spent hardly anything for the first five years of his tenure, instead spending it on high wages for older players and frees (Djorkaeff, Campo, Hierro, Okocha to name a few). By the time we were spending money on the likes of Anelka and Diouf though in 2005/2006 our football had pretty much reverted to hoofing.
-
It's true though, we didn't exclusively play long-ball football the first 5 years of his tenure. The last 2 years though were pretty dodgy football-wise, but as we were finishing top 8 every season, no-one was really complaining.
-
He'll get them back up and keep them there. Certainly an improvement on Avram Grant. For all the fans on KUMB moaning about 'The West Ham way', well, that's a myth. It hasn't existed since the late 1970s/ early 1980s.
-
Not really, Frank Arnesen is sporting director there.
-
If you lot don't want him, we'll have him, ta.
