  1. Well, we have lost our 6 away league games, but then again they have been Man City, Sunderland, Chelsea, Liverpool, Stoke and Spurs. 2 away wins in succession in the cup suggests we might be getting a bit of form back.
  2. If you've in a replay, then I would assume so.
  3. Superb win today. 3 wins in a row and confidence must be sky-high. We haven't conceded a goal since Wheater came into the team, already looking a great signing. Cahill and Wheater really does look the solid defensive partnership that we've been lacking for a while.
  4. This might be a problem, considering Steinsson is 'injured'/in rehab (allegedly). We don't have a right-back for Sunday's game with Fulham - I'm guessing Paul Robinson will play there.
  5. Who signed him? Was it Allardyce?
  6. Apparently we took about 2,000. The 3 previous games between the two sides have been dire to be honest, which is probably why we didn't take more. For what it's worth the attendance in the first match was just shy of 15,000. Not great by any means, but not particularly embarrassing either.
  7. 7,515 at the DW Stadium for the replay, Still, it's our first away win since November.
  8. Wheater was brought in because we had no cover in central defence as we had just let O'Brien go. If Cahill goes, we'd probably look to bring someone in too.
  9. It's a definite improvement from our last 8 games, though we were quite good in the second half against Spurs last week. We have been generally comfortable today, but as you said, that's mostly down to Everton being very poor. Cahill and Wheater actually looks like a decent partnership.
  10. Was that out? Can't tell. Should have let it go, if only because Stu Holden scored it
  11. Sturridge showing Everton what they're missing.
  12. Robbie Keane scoring for the club he always supported as a boy
  13. Zubar's backpass for that was comically bad. Probably an undeserved win, but it might stop the rot now.
  14. Coyle tried to get him on loan in the summer, got knocked back ofc. Would imagine there's no chance seeing as he's had more exposure to first-team football than before.
  15. Clearly, Wheater is going to (d)evolve into in about 3 years Still, ugliness is a good quality in a centre-back I think, how many devilishly handsome CBs are there about?
  16. Wheater's a replacement for Andy O'Brien, not Cahill. From most accounts, he was shocking under Strachan, but getting back to the form under Mowbray that got an England call-up in 2008. If Coyle can transform Zat Knight's fortunes (apart from the mistake last week, he's generally been good this season), I'm sure he can do the same with Wheater. Oh, and Gary Cahill is massively over-rated on here.
  17. I hadn't noticed that it had dipped like that. Have you been playing poorly or has it been down to some poor luck ? Bit of both really. More recently though it's down to poor performance.
  18. What has your form been like over the last half a dozen games or so ? WLWLLD If we lose this it's our 5th away defeat in a row.
  19. We've been absolutely atrocious, looks like our season is falling apart.
  20. Enrique was shocking when he played us, presume that was just a one-off?
  21. Ha, Bolton v Wigan. There will be about 3 fans there
