West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
Colos Curls replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Always said the overhyped defenders in the premier league wouldn't know how to handle a lad this big and rough, I hope he flattens John Terry!!!!. Still scared to big him up when talking about him though, exceptional performance on Sunday yes but that was one game and an upset was always on the cards with the fans being pissed off and probably half the players thinking this would be the day to redeem some of that pride we lost going down at vp that day. Hope Andy keeps proving everyone wrong an gives us someone to aspire to and rely on like many of our ex number 9's -
HP? Probably the fact cashley is a tight fisted c***, short fat arms, deep pockets!

The only reason I watch sky sports is for the flange!!!, plus the fuckers dissapearing off freeview so I can't anymore
-
Just took a glance on a bremen forum earlier and they are all still hopeful of getting him at a knocked down price. They think their manager is just playing down the speculation to get the better deal, Nufc style.

anything from that supposed press conference on barfa??

Newcastle United v Aston Villa (the season starts here, maybe)
Colos Curls replied to Ishmael's topic in Football
FFS!!! I am losing hope here fast -
I'm new, what is this about???

Scouting him again? This is almost getting as bad as Roeder scouting Kuyt! I don't even think you can call it scouting anymore, NUFC could probably write this lads autobiography the amount of times we've scouted him

Meanwhile, reports in Norway claim Newcastle again sent scouts to check out midfielder Per Ciljan Skjelbred. The 23-year-old has been watched by various United regimes, but none of them have made a serious bid. Skjelbred was in action for Rosenborg in their Champions League encounter with FC Copenhagen, which the Norwegian side won 2-1. Taken from Chronicle article Are we ever gonna give up on Skjelbred?!?

So how many clubs will have put an offer in today according to deschamps??, he's probably reading this place and pissing himself laughing at the turmoil it's causing ha

As the Bremen president has said, there is no interest. Didnt chris hughton say that also, This is a truly fucked up saga!!

No more please, I beg of you, Lock this thread untill we are 99.9% that barfa is coming to newcastle and is spotted in the grainger market buying his sunday roast and an a 50p mixup!

But these players are terribly average and will be caught out in the premier league. Im fully aware not every team in the premier league is man united but even the poorer teams and newly promoted are signing better players than the likes of danny simpson (Wasnt deemed good enough by sunderland) and ryan taylor (We blatently only bought him to stop wigan beating us all the time)., We dont even have to spend millions, What about petrov to bolton!?!?!? we've had the advantage of knowing where we are next season and so far it looks like there has been no shortlist for transfer targets made. There was a soupcon of sarcasm contained within my post, comrade. Sarcasm noted, i need to leave this thread before it consumes me :|

all well and good saying this is the correct procedure for players we cant exactly afford but seriously i dont think we can spunk another 1.5m on players like perch who to me is a squad member at best, We are going to end up with a couple of loans and possibly good championship players. Some risks need to be taken on players who can offer more than just cover for our just better than average squad

I don't know, we could stay up but I admit we are in real danger of being a club going down. Yes we need an attacking midfielder, alongside other players but I don't go round saying Ashley is a c*** because he hasn't signed Ben Arfa. At the start of the transfer window I wanted O'Hara, it doesn't look like we are going to get him but I'm not coming on here calling Ashley all the names under the sun for it. Surely the difference between us getting ben arfa compared to o'hara is that ben arfa seemed hell bent on a move here and (supposedly) we aint upping our bid to seal this deal, O'hara was mentioned in the press as a good target for us thats all.

Hmmm i cant vouch for online orders like, Kick up a stink if you can be arsed mate

I found if you don't go to official club stores you rarely get the apostrophe's and the like, jjb and sports direct didn't when I asked so said bugger that because it will look like a fake. Went to sjp store and they done it.

It's like a fart that won't go away!, I'm actually sick of the amount of twists in the tale.I'm still holding out for werder bremen talk is just putting 2 and 2 together to make a story because they were previously interested.
-
I thought they said terms had been agreed. is that not between both of the clubs, the player would have to agree terms also?.
-
Hi, haha. Yeah this got me on eventually but now I'm here you all stuck with me

Could of possibly had a mental breakdown if I had of believed this rumour but being a Newcastle fan I'm doomed to being skeptical about everything until it's there in black and White on the official website. It's not the end of the world missing out on him even though I think we may have been strung along by them twisty French cunts so they could build up interest, could of certainty helped with our hopes of survival in the prem though. What's going to make this 10x worse is when we buy an average championship player On deadline day and we are supposed to be excited after being linked with genuine talent, I'll just go cry myself to sleep now

I'm actually mentally exhausted at checking this thread and news now in the hope this deal is coming to a conclusion. Yet everyday I check it's the same thing if not even further away. Talkshite just said milner to man city is the biggest transfer saga so far this season, I beg to differ strangely
