Can't complain with how we've played so far besides my usual qualms with Nolan being on the pitch. We have been unlucky in some games but it's becoming more and more obvious we need a forward who will put chances away, carrol is definitely a prospect but all hope can't rest on a 21 year olds shoulder, shola is shola, lovenkrands has fell off the face of the earth and ranger is still green, if we had of captured a robbie keane or the like I think we would have faired a tiny bit better upfront. Looking forward to see how we reply to that rank game of football(I think you could call it that) after what seems the death of Ben arfa in a toon shirt and a complete incompetent showing from "the best league in the world"'s officials Back to our frustrating best I guess :/

Terrible tackle, feeling absolutely gutted about the one thing I(and I think many others) were extremely excited about, but I'd never wish for someone to suffer such an injury, he'll get his comeuppance one day anyways.

Just a horrible horrible day of football for us, I feel demoralised so I shudder to think how the players and chris is feeling. We could have scored 10 goals today and they would have got 11 penalties. I also think colo was going to go on to have an amazing game but heaven forbid that happening Thanks for your relatively small input this season barfa! What a cunt of a day!

-1, Enrique was a lost sheep at times against Stoke when coming forward as Ben arfa was busy drifting about the pitch(rightfully so). Enrique plays some amazing forward football with guti and guti is great cover for Enrique, usually when he loses the ball on a wasted run

+1, deserved to stay on and the back looked visibly shaken once he was subbed, probably because Nolan was somewhere back there

Gutierrez played an absolutely gash ball into the box in the last few minutes but other than that he was a bit if fresh air, I said it once and ill say it again keV Nolan needs to be dropped and Ben arfa needs to take his role, him and guti linking up could be fairly interesting

I was just about to mention the very state of RTG haha, I dont mind discussing sunderland but fuck me they have some kind of inferiority complex!!, Good game so far, Still very nervy because we all know chelsea can turn it on with the flick of the switch. Bring on some 1st teamers to try and soften the blow at the restart and we could possibly hold on!! Or ben arfa could come on and they may just hoy the white flag up??

I saw Carroll in KP Tesco car park the other week and the number plate is something like that. It was a Range Rover or 4x4 - sorry not too hot on cars. Yeah it was a range rover I saw that plate on, I see colo near everyday coming past hancock museum also, probably why he made his way onto my username.

Yes, shearer is a terrible pundit, I literally think he does no research on new players or from outside of uk. He normally points out the blatantly obvious and probably bases that on the couple of minutes clip they show. To be fair all the pundits are terrible but don't mind Gary lineker hosting it. Also don't know f anyone watched the full mackem game like me after toon game on the dodgy channels but they had the better of arsenal for large periods of that game, yet motd showed nothing of that and said arsenal were unlucky, I dislike Sunderland greatly but blatant favouritism of the top four, heaven forbid a lesser team play better than the skyboys!

My gripe is also the tackiness of the logo, poundland and poundstretcher have far classier logos, if sports direct really is the biggest sport chain in the uk could they not try and redesign itself with a more premium logo other than something that took a minute to do in Microsoft word???. I'm past caring about the fact there is sports direct advertisements but could he not try and make them subtle outside st James, black & White would be a start like! Looks shocking, hard to put into words at times

Read that everton pov match reaction, think he summed up the whole Carroll situation perfectly. Everton were probably expecting the whole lump it into the box for Andy Carroll show and it was evident in the defending, I'm guessing(hoping) chris hughton anticipates this and instead we dominated the middle of the park and passed and played them off the pitch!

Utter dross. Nolan was really good today. Sorry but I never noticed anything of note from kev other than when he fell over in the box, a lot of heart doesn't make up for an obvious lack of skill or talent, when he's not scoring I struggle to see what you obviously do, tiote and Barton ran the centre perfecty today

Dissapointed with jonas comments again, give the lad a break, if anything was proved today it was how fat and slow Nolan still is and that he should be dropped. Noticed many times Enrique had made his surge forward only to realise he had no help, this is where guti lends a hand and allows Jose to come inside for a push into the box. That aside class performance and thoroughly enjoyed most of it!

I struggle to put in words how much I love this lad at times, he is just immense, give any player a go at him and he manages more than competently to dis-posses them.

Fairly good player, but he is extremely slow releasing it at times and is not the most forward thinking, just watch how much he turns around and plays back, boils my p*as at times, could do with him in team for freekicks and spraying the ball around the pitch
