Yeah he also said Ibra is being paid 11m euro/month He did though possibly he misunderstood the question though he was asked it twice... He's on £35k a day so that £11m a year... Plus free private jet flights etc thrown in...

As i said much earlier in the thread still think Chelsea may have a say in this... French journalist on TalkSport reckons Marseille fullback could be canny for us and said Chelsea should be looking at Debuchy not Newcastle! He added fee would be £8-10m... Hopefully he's as clueless as our local media... Prefer Auclair when he is on...

We should leave well alone... Was enjoying the slightly lower profile we were keeping with the type of players we were bringing in... Can't see anyone in our current squad that will get the best from him now that Barton & Nolan have gone apart from Krul...

To be fair its what Everton did and they totally overrun us down that side when up against HBA and Perch... Was horrible viewing from the touchline in the stand...

Sure he was brought up in Shrewsbury. He's defo English though, born there and both parents are. I always wondered what it was like growing up and living in Berwick. Do they have southsiders and northsiders? Is there friction between those born north and south of the river? Not really, as far as I know anyway. The river is not the border, the border is a couple of miles further north. What I do find peculiar is that people at one end of a street can sound like Geordies and at the other end sound like Scots. Iirc Berwick has swapped between from being part of England & Scotland around a dozen times... So depending the year in which you were born you could technically be either Scottish or English...

It's concerning how much weight he may have put on whilst out. He does have a tendency to pork up. Was mentioned in his nufcTV feature I think. He recognised he's prone to putting on weight and has been extra vigilant this time round, looks in decent shape as well. Carver on Total Sport a few mins ago says he's come back in great shape and was doing some closed season work with the club physio in Portugal...
