" Just a wee club in the North" ? Aye that's the one
-
What was it he said about us a while back when he seemed to crack? Might have been in response to Pardew being a bellend mind.
-
Surely Mourinho's is wrong? He had a 67% winrate in his first stint, cannot be arsed to work it out but a 59% winrate in his 2nd would have brought it down more than that surely? EDIT: He's also played more than 202 games, not sure where Sky are getting their stats from.

Ferguson's record is ridiculous

I was thinking exactly this yesterday.

Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press
Hanshithispantz replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Aguero is unarguable an amazing player though, obviously he'd obliterate that league There's players who just work in the Championship though and experience in the league definitely helps. If we want to play it safe we'd be best off going for a 'Championship striker' than risking Perez, Mitrovic, Armstrong and some other unknown entity, we have little idea how they'll turn out. -
Honestly man, McClaren didn't even want Thauvin and he brought him in Pardew spoke multiple times about having disagreements with him but "he'd always win," obviously not, hence why he brought in Anita and Yanga-Mbiwa to sit on the bench.
-
Maybe they'll win the title again next year then. I wonder what the odds are. They already won it this year, it was a canny big thing. Odds were like 50,000/1 or something.
-
It does aye, which makes his recommendation of McClaren all the more baffling. Would be like recommending your mate buy a selection of great 4k Blu-Ray disks alongside a cathode ray TV.
-
Nah but the Leicester scouts did.
-
But players and managers that Ashley wanted him to find. Players with re-sale value and managers who are yes men. Carr is just doing what he's told. I'm pretty certain the players on his list at 1/2/3 would be amazing signings for us. Lacazette,Aubameyang etc His paper might as well read "Neymar... Pogba... Vidal." His job was obviously to find good young players we could sell for a profit (best way to fo this is by virtue of them turning out to be a 'hidden gem') and he failed spectacularly.
-
But that's what he was paid to do. If he was asked to scout for 28 year old 6'5 defenders he could probably deliver. So could anyone with access to Wikipedia. Not sure Carr's shown any evidence at all of being a good scout whilst here like (Abeid maybe?), Ron's spot on in that he's just a bloke with good contacts. He's done this for a long time.

I'd be here all night if I was give my views on aeroplanes and kitchen tables.

Could be a bad few months for Roy.
-
eh? I assume as a joke?
-
Wasn't one of Taylor's first tweets him trying to pedle some shit energy drink? No subtelty or anything, just came straight out looking like he'd been roped into a pyramid scheme. And then there the black thing, bloke is a complete fucking moron.
-
Yeh it happen. I disagree.
-
What you mean? He was/is part of the board.
-
Pardew has permanently scarred the guy.
-
It's just pointless speculation, he had no reason to instantly sign his future away and would have been mental to do so. Obviously if Liverpool for some reason sacked Klopp and offered him the job he'd have gone, but he wasn't going to go to Everton or Watford.

Thought Cabella had activated a clause and was their player now? -
Except hardly any of us knew who Cabaye was when we signed him and don't lie. I mean any scout who watched him probably would have noticed him but please not let's act like he was a world renowned name. There's been plenty of other great players like Aubameyang among others that he advised we get but Ashley never put the cash down. Sure there's been a lot of duds but let's not act like the only good players he's put forward to the club have been Cabaye or Ben Arfa. I'm sure anyone who followed Ligue 1 knew who Cabaye was like. He was regarded as on of the best players for the French champions. I don't watch that league, but if I did I'd know who he was for sure, it's pretty much like someone recommending Kante*. Getting him for so cheap without anyone else activating his clause was impressive, but in hindsight it seems more luck than anything, same with Ba. *Spotting him a couple of years ago is different, that's actually good scouting.
