Begs the question why he's only being introduced when one of Anita or Colback is unavailable when neither should be playing whenever Cheick is fit to play. Probably because he's been god awful every time he's played for about 4 years. Like I said, even a god awful Tiote provides more midfield dominance than the midget twins. He hasn't did that though until tonight His other appearances this season have been arguably worse than them both.

Hads on... what? -
I had no idea what was going on like, was stunned.
-
Well aye, but it's not like anyone was calling for Tiote to start games earlier in the season like We need a change though and Tiote doing what he did today is a start.
-
He's just not that quick tbh, he's never looked it. No idea why he doesn't start, or at least get more than 10 minutes though, he grafts his bollocks off and clearly has a lot of talent.

What was our line-up at the end? I'd like to something like Tiote in the middle of Sissoko and Wijnaldum, just get Colback and Anita away from the pitch. He doesn't have to do anything flash, just be strong and mobile enough to show for the ball in the centre and give it to someone else.

Was at a dodgy height on his left tbf. Everything we do in the final 3rd ultimately leads to Janmaat or Sissoko pinging something into the box. -

they were fucking dogshite and there for the taking. Probably didn't effect the result but why the fuck were we time wasting from about the 60th minute? Ridiculous respect. -
Thought he played well enough, we just need someone who's guaranteed to score goals.
-
It helped that Arsenal were absolutely cack mind.
-
I'd love to know the thought process behind waiting until the 87th minute for a game changing substitution like.

Our plan of slowing play down when we're blatantly on top is bizarre to say the least. -

Tiote has looked fine like, if he can keep this up (unlikely) I hope we can push Colback and Anita out in place of someone who can actually play football. -

The cunt is completely void of ideas. -
He lost his nerve pretty quickly with the 4-3-3 but I think his losing streaks where reinforced by him refusing to budge from his rigid 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 (Cisse right wing)? TBH that period just blends together for me now.

We should be doing better, but when you look at how severely flawed our squad is, I'm not sure how much better we can realistically do without a genius for a manager. Certainly nowhere near good enough to get that top 8 finish. Don't get me wrong, our squad is terrible, the worst it's been since I can remember, but McClaren isn't helping himself at all. We've played this same system since Nowrich and done nothing all season to try and salvage a functioning midfield, it's Pardew levels of stubbornness.

Not sure why we haven't tried Sissoko in central midfield like, he covers ground better than anyone else in the squad. It's not like there's anything to lose.
