Canny baffled as to what the negatives of loaning the lad would be like, other than feeling a bit cheap and dirty.

I don't think so. He's genuinely naive tactically. We kna mate, you keep on saying. -

It's not the same at all, no. AvB has slightly underachieved with a new look squad, Pardew was fucking tragic and nearly relegated us. -

AvB has never looked anywhere near as horrid as Pardew did last season. I mean he finished 5th last year and had Tottenham sitting in 7th this year before he was sacked with a 100% record in Europe and into the quarter finals of the League Cup. He hasn't lived up to the Porto hype at all but he's not quite at Alan Pardew levels just yet. -
Brett's a clear wind up like.

Tbf we've spent nowt to be in this position and the majority on here want our manager sacked. Don't like AVB but these sackings are out of control. Can't expect the team to gel instantly after the widespread changes over the summer. We were nearly relegated, man. Would be a bit daft randomly sacking Pardew now, like, without some A* replacement lined up. -
No mention of not performing to a high standard? This is one of the things that irks me most about this forum. Blame everything except the player. You're dense as fuck you like Why would I blame the player in a post that explains why I don't think "his assist record is that bad"? That wouldn't make any sense at all. The variables listed where mitigating factors outside of his own ability for why I didn't think it was that bad. I don't think he's performed to a high standard, not consistently anyway, I don't think that can really be argued against. Some of that is down to his own shortcomings as a player and some of it is down to him either not being played, or playing in a system that doesn't suit him and allow him to play his natural game. Ultimately though if you find the right system for him and actually play him he'll deliver, that won't happen here though.
-
I was only kidding man. I just don't agree that his assist record is worthy of any kind of scrutiny. I don't think he'll ever live up to his hype here for a few of reasons, some down to his own shortcomings but mainly because of Pardew's requirements and his impatience with him.

I hope that you enjoy the plank that has scored a goal every 10 games over the last 3 1/2 seasons and kept him out of the game yesterday. I enjoy the team having us 6th in the league.
-
Saw that yesterday when Anita made the Southampton defence look like mugs too, absolutely criminal that the entire team apparently stood there in awe like the rest of us for the 5-10 seconds he had the ball instead of getting into the box. Not a single person there.
-
It cannot help him coming into games when we need a goal as that's the kind of "magic" that's expected of him. It must be hard not trying to go for glory knowing that you only have 20 minutes to make an impression. On the other hand Marveaux is the complete opposite and seems to keep his cool and play his game regardless of the score, baffling that he hasn't featured more tbh.

But there probably is something wrong with the amount of times he gets himself into good positions only to end-up doing stuff not so productive. He creates those positions himself though, any other player would usually swing a floated ball into the box or play the ball back to another midfielder/attacker outside of the area. I do get frustrated with him at times like, seeing him take a touch too many, but the alternatives are equally as futile if not more so. There's room for improvement obviously, both from himself and from Pardew. Alternatives are equally futile? Do you mean the alternatives on the pitch, or the ones he's playing instead of? If the later, then I agree. But this doesn't mean I shouldn't highlight his tendency to overplay and messing up opportunities. I mean the alternative decisions he could make, i.e hitting a ball into the box early or giving it back to another player outside of the box (which he also does).

I wouldn't drop Remy like His last couple of performances are the kind that would see Ben Arfa benched though. Not that I even feel he's been too disgusting either.

Imagine if Shane Ferguson tweeted the equivalent after the Swansea game, he'd be fucking shot He's not a daft cunt though.

Brain cells. A few billion of them.

Ronaldo probably expected something like 4 assists but just went with his planned response anyway Nothing at all wrong with his assist or goal contribution with the time he's had on the pitch, especially when you consider other factors such as his return from injury, the abomination that was last season, and him being completely shit on by Pardew as soon as he runs a couple of balls out of play. Like every other player in the side he needs to be allowed to have quiet games and not be chastised for them. It's a recurring theme with him though, he'll have a run of half a dozen games or so where he ranges from decent to the best player on the park, followed by 1-2 sub standard showings and he's sitting in the dugout for the next 3 month. If he was in Remy's place he'd be starting on the bench at Selhurst Park after the last couple of games.

HAHAHA GOOD ONE!
-
They mainly hoofed it yesterday. Righto. Their keeper played it across the floor to the defence pretty much every single time he had the ball
-
I expect a team to come out looking for a goal in the second half when they're behind, I just also expect us not to allow them to get it. I've never seen a side struggle so consistently against the opposition when ahead in a game as we do. We pretty much slash the next goalscored odds for the opponents to about 2/7 every time we take the lead.
-
Unless it's us. We come out worse and get battered 3 or 4 nil.

He's no longer proper shit, which is good.
