  1. It wasn't bad at all, it was soft as shite and completely pathetic. You cannot purposefully play the man instead of the ball though, you have to make an attempt to win the ball when making a challenge otherwise it's a yellow. The same with touching a players' face, regardless of how hard you hit if you raise your hands to a players' face you're off.
  2. If there was an attempt to play the ball I would say it would be a weak yellow, he just ran up and kicked the back of Cabaye's leg though. He missed the ball by about a foot. You cannot do that
  3. "we will have gnashing of false teeth and beer guts at the Hawayling Wall" How shit does your craic have to be to post that, man
  4. I'm enjoying us at the moment and I'm happy for it to continue (obviously ) I just don't think it can. I think we'll need to change and Pardew will have to get a new style sorted like he did 2 years ago. I fully believe in the cliched glass ceiling with Pardew too, I would love to see us grow under a new manager. Obviously an owner who isn't a complete divvy would be required too.
  5. Imagine if we had a manager who could work on a new style of play, come to the game and it not epically fail though? That would be class. That's all I want
  6. Aye, but you could look at it in such a way that hes also gone to a pretty settled & well set up side already. Far more consistant than we've been over the years. The first teams are close, but i reckon they shade it. Certainly looking at results alone, is Martinez deserving of so much praise over Pards given the 1 point difference? He may improve them further, but he is using more loans to achieve it also & our football has been improved aswell. That said i do think he is the better manager but its interesting to consider. Easier to praise managers from the outside isnt it. But Martinez hasn't nearly relegated a squad of this caliber. He also won the FA cup with an abysmal one. Then obviously there's the enjoyment of watching a side playing what I would consider "good football". There's far more than just looking at a table and saying "what's the difference between the 2 of them then?" There will undoubtedly be an element of fool's gold looking from the outside, but most things about Martinez and Everton to me suggests he would be my preferred manager.
  7. Having to explain this to someone I suppose CP40 is baffled? And it still missed
  8. It's also Martinez' first season. EDIT: What mrmojorisin said
  9. He did it against City a couple of years back too, when he knocked the clocks off with 20 minutes to go so the City players would "feel like time was flying by" or something ridiculous like that It didn't work like as they scored twice.
  10. They're clueless those cunts on that board, I love residents of genuine shit holes having a pop with tired stereotypes too. You cannot blame the Stoke squad if their fans and manager believe you can maliciously kick players whilst on a yellow card and pull down strikers through on goal without being sent off like. "How the hell has football turned into what it is nowadays" ffs
  11. It's constructive criticism and it's better to assess your faults and improve them than to just ignore them because everything else seems rosy. I would say at the minute we could be improved by Anita being in the side ahead of Sissoko if Ben Arfa is playing wide right. I would use the Stoke first half display as evidence of that.
  12. It is though. It's fucking mind boggling. Not just that he should be sacked (I couldn't have a go at their fans or the board wanting a better man in if they can), but that the Norwich board are "clueless" for not sacking him, said by no other than the fella who apparently admires chairmen for sticking by their manager. I don't even know why I'm replying to you, you're a wind up, and obviously a very good one.
  13. Maybe it's just being hyper-critical which is accentuated by THE DIVISION but taking Anita off instead of Sissoko (and before that throwing Sissoko pretty much up top) was poor. Sissoko was sloppy all game and was at fault for messing up 2-3 golden opportunities in the first half. It'll be the same against Arsenal too. Anita will be sacrificed out of the 2 of them either before or during the game which is just wrong. I do like Sissoko still, but Anita is delicious on and off the ball.
  14. Norwich are 14th (2 points from 10th) It's absolutely bewildering that anyone thinks their manager should be sacked. They're Norwich ffs
  15. He can sneak on me when I'm asleep anytime.
  16. At first I thought it was harsh but after seeing it again it's a definite 2nd yellow, he has no intention of playing the ball and just kicks the back of Cabaye's leg, it's pretty much the very definition of a booking. Any harder and it would have been a straight red.
  17. This isn't the only game he's been like this either this season, he looked absolutely class earlier on until he had an average couple of games.
  18. Remember, he isn't playing like this because he's fucking class, it's because of Pardew's excellent man management of him.
  19. Well Ben Arfa's going back in after today
  20. How much effort would it have took to change the palette ffs
