Fucking hell man it's proper shocking that the opposition are allowed someone to guard the goal line and make saves like, it's like they don't want us to score goals against them or something. Anyway I'm out, this is the most baseless argument I've ever read.
-
 we lost six fucking nil man, no team in world football scores every chance that they get so merely saying that we missed a chance doesn't mean anything, when we're missing sitter upon sitter we can feel hard done by. "Hew man we created a chance in that six nil defeat you radgie, point proven, winner"

We've been dominated more times on our own pitch within the last month than we've done all year
-
My aim is to compete for 90 minutes and continue to force the issue. Dominating the odd game would be nice though, aye. You know, like other teams do (Nowrich yesterday for example).
-
No, you posted a few segments that showed we had performed well in a half or so. How many times have we sustained a performance for a full 90 minutes? You could count it on 1 hand this season. And your the most negative bloke here ffs, your outright claiming that Pardew is the best Ashley will provide so we should just suck it up and accept it. People want Pardew gone because they believe this club can achieve far more without this berk holding us back, it's the opposite of negativity, it's aspiring for better.
-
Happy Face is adamant to keep this weird argument going, like. Fervently defending a manager who he concedes is a "no-mark" purely because he doesn't like Mike Ashley. It's mad.
-
Why wouldn't you just write Newcastle?
-
Debatable. If you want a manager who underachieves and plays boring, direct football we should just stick with the one we've got and save the compensation. Jol hasn't got a history of underachieving or boring football though, you're peddling this purely because Fulham have had a bad season and were 2nd behind us in some daft stat this year Jol has succeeded everywhere he's been with the exception of Ajax where he failed to win the league. He's had a poor year, as has Pardew, but he has a lot more to fall back on.
-
I genuinely can't believe anyone would rather keep Pardew than bring in Jol. He's a better manager.
-
Jol has a far worse squad than Pardew and has a far better managerial history than him. Not that I actually want Jol but it's a no brainer if it comes down to the 2 of them.
-
We appointed Pardew at a time he had internationals like Ben Arfa, Tiote, Coloccini, Carroll, Gutierrez etc. By the same token we still have Perch, Simpson, Williamson, and Taylor in our top 11 starters for the season. We had them along with Nolan, Smith & Barton though so it's a bit of a moot point. Ben Arfa's leg was in 2 at the time.
-
Now my questions for you. What makes you think Mike Ashley has the wherewithal to bring in a manager who, with a neutral budget and one of the lowest salries in the league, can challenge for anything more than mid-table season after season? Surely you need to be asking yourself why you're happy to stick with a manager who by your own admission: Doesn't coach the team to attack dangerously. Doesn't send the players out positively or with confidence. Is tactically flawed. Cannot change the flow if a game. Doesn't get the best out of his team (the starting XI and the squad as a whole). Isn't right for the type of players that we are keen on purchasing. Doesn't fill you with excitement going into next season.
-
I'm sure there are plenty managers who would be willing to work under Ashley's restrictions tbh, it's a far sight better than the vast majority of clubs in world football regardless of how hard done to we may feel. Proportionate to the size of the club he's not all that great, even if I agree with some of his policies, but we're a far more attractive proposition than the likes of Wigan (who's manager has just won the FA Cup) or Swansea (who's manager has just won the League Cup). Many managers would bite Ashley's hand of for an opportunity to manage here. That is Ashley's biggest problem though, the fact that he appears happy to sit with a yes man.
-
Based on results and issues out of his control, maybe? Based on performances, tactics, substitutions, team ethos, etc... Not a f***ing chance! We've got knocked out of Europe marginally by the finalists, we are still in a position to finish top half and this has been a disaster. I understand i'm just papering over the major cracks here however i'm just not one to go over board and start calling for his head when i haven't quickly forgotten how he massively over achieved last season leaving him in a position this year with a far greater job on his hands which nobody really expected and in truth we weren't well equipped enough to cope. If he goes and we bring in someone else fair enough, i wouldn't argue against it, but if we stick with him, i hope we go into the summer with a better plan than our previous visits in this window of opportunity. It's absolutely ridiculous that you can suggest that people are going overboard by calling for his head like, just staggering.
-
Obviously yeah, but for what reasons?
-
All in all he's just nearly relegated the club.
-
I think Ashley knows exactly how shit Pardew is personally and he just sees him as a cheap yes man. Still praying that he realises that he will be financially better off in the long run if he actually pays for a quality replacement.

Ba? You don't really appear to be up to date with goings on at the club. Ba left halfway through the season and we strengthened the squad during that period with 5 new players. You can say that we strengthened once the likes of Chelsea are pursuing Gouffran. No, I can say we strengthened when we brought in 5 new players including the widely applauded Sissoko.

Who fancies having a thoroughly fruitless protest against Pardew?
Hanshithispantz replied to a topic in Football
I'm usually against protests like but I wouldn't begrudge anyone of it. They're cringe-worthy as fuck and we'll make the papers for the wrong reasons but so fuck, that's us in a nutshell anyway. It's just a lot better when we're finishing high up in the league and it's happening as opposed to facing relegation. -

People claiming that "results have gotten better" for fuck's sake, how can you say that with a straight face, man? -
I think we need more additions rather than a shakie-up (other than the manager obviously). Although I'm not entirely sure where I stand with a few players.
-
Do you ever actually contribute anything? 6 hours and 5 minutes later he's still going.

I love a bit of IP to be fair.

I fucking love that clip
