The Wigan hate is a bit strong like
-
come on man he's only 24, i think he will become a decent striker once he gets to play central more. I always forget how young Walcott is like. He'll still never be a top player and his peak will be short, like.
-
Pass Ramsey son.

The gayest flip of the bird I've ever seen.

What a 2nd half, man.
-
It's always been a "very coached" game you fucking geriatric cunt.

Maloney man

Yeah, you can prove anything with facts can't you Stats account for very little. But when someone says "we create very little" and the facts show we create more chances than 13 other teams then the stats show that person is wrong. I would keep the smugness until you've actually made a coherent point tbh. Shots at goal/on target does not equate to actual chances created and certainly isn't a good barometer on it's own of how cohesive an attacking unit is. All it tells us is how many times one of our players has struck the ball with the intention of scoring a goal and how many of those shots were actually going towards said target. Now honestly I don't know or care how many genuine chances we create on average compared to other teams in the league, all I do know from seeing us play is that it isn't enough for us, and the mere fact that you are trying to debate this as a plus point of Pardew's management speaks volumes.
-
Stats mean very little on their own; nobody at all watching us this season can genuinely believe we are a cohesive attacking unit.
-
Aye and we just happen to do this the most out of every single team in the league. What a coincidence that Alan f***ing Pardew is our manager. Notice how Happy Face conveniently ignores posts he finds uncomfortable to answer. As much a fraud as a poster as our fraud of a manager. I've noticed that, i asked him about our style of play and the free kick hoofs. Maybe this will jog his memory. Pardew tells the players make darting runs and for the ball to be whipped in with pace but they just ignore him, probably due to tiredness or something. The same with Elliott taking our freekicks on the halfway line, Pardew thought it was mental but the cheeky chappy just continued to do it anyway. There's also rumours that Jonas wasn't even picked for half of his 33 starts this season, the guy just refuses to sit on the bench and plays against everyone's will. I'll pack it in with the woeful craic now.
-
No one. People said he's a better manager than Pardew and he clearly is.
-
I like to make evidence based deductions. I cannot produce evidence of that which has not happened before. So I can't say it's impossible he would appoint anyone better. If it happened I'd be delighted. There is however ample evidence of woeful managerial appointments in the past. The current one is an example, but he's been the most successful yet. The liklihood based on previous evidence is that whoever Mike Ashley appoints will be an incapable, cheap dinosaur, or someone that cannot work under him. It's now your turn in the debate to explain your reasons for supposing that trend can be bucked. Blind faith is not evidence. I've already explained my point and it makes far more sense than "it's never happened before so it will never happen". It's also completely contradictory considering you're technically claiming that Ashley's last appointment was the best he's ever made, so by your own theory he's proven that he can bring a better man in.
-
We have no real pattern of play, no real way of keeping the ball. You are contradicting each other while being in agreement. Has Pardew set us up to play well in the first halves of games or not? It depends what you expectations are. But no, I don't think that we've been set out particularly great at any point this season, there has been times where we have looked good in comparison to the rest of the dross we serve, but rarely have we turned out a performance, first half or otherwise, where a neutral would watch us and think "fucking hell they look good".
-
Ad hominem. Doesn't engage any of my points. Just says I'm mad. There is evidence that Alan Pardew is capable of getting Newcastle united to finish in the top 5. There is evidence of awful injury issues hindering that this season, of our main goal threat being sold and not replaced adequately. There is evidence of improved results since he was given extra bodies to fill some of the gaps in January. What evidence is there that Mike Ashley can find a more accomplished manager? You cannot go around picking out fallacies (although to be honest I wasn't far wrong, if at all) and then claim that they are all anyone has ever said in reply to your points, that is just lying, hence why I called bullshit. And what evidence is there that he cannot find a more accomplished manager? It's a completely pointless debate considering not a single one of know what his current thought process is, or what it will be in a years time etc. For all we know he may have learned another lesson (which he has certainly shown he is capable of) and would take more care with his next selection. Ofcourse there is always the possibility that he won't also. That latter point is your entire argument though, "Mike Ashley won't get anyone better if he sacks Pardew". I think it's highly unlikely that we can appoint anyone worse for our squad and transfer policy.

This is absolute bullshit for what it's worth. Just a blatant lie

That's if Pullis doesn't get the sack. Obviously Stoke would be fucking daft to do that like, imagine the upheaval? Just imagine it man.
-
We should finish 4th next season then. Such is the power of stability.
-
We've actually got good strength in depth other than our centre backs (which we have suffered because of) and our strikers (who've never been injured ) It's Pardew who chooses to play Perch or Shola instead of Anita or Marveaux because he's completely shot of ideas.

I suggest you get your season reviews out. Watch em back . Also don't twist my argument - I was referencing style of play - not pragmatism/aggression. So what the f*** is your argument exactly? I was talking to DISCO who was planning on asking Pardew why :- '' 'Why in 2.5 years at Newcastle have you not been able to implement a style of play that means regardless of the personnel available the players will be comfortable & familiar playing a style that best suits their abilities?''' Now when I read that I think of a Ajax/Barcelona or lately Dortmund type system which I can't remember us having before. So my point was that the styles of play that Robson/Hughton used didn't rely on that type in house hegemony - it was fairly simple stuff. You don't have to have a Barcelona like academy to stamp some sort of team ethos on your squad. We lose a few players to injury and Pardew hasn't got a f***ing clue what he's doing and we go on massive runs of s*** form. It's partly down to a lack of quality in reserve, but we aren't the only team in the league who have that problem but we certainly seem the most effected by it. We are the most effected by it because for whatever reason we've had to make the most changes of personnel in the league bar QPR and how many of them are good enough? Most of them are good enough. Williamson and Perch are the only players that spring to mind who aren't really good enough for this league who have been forced into numerous starts this season because of injury. He chooses not to play Marveaux and Anita. Here's our appearance list down to Harper (with 4 starts): http://i.imgur.com/0tRmoeE.png

I hope Ashley has learned something by this, he's certainly learned from his mistakes in the past , and although it's a very slow process he is improving as an owner. He's light-years ahead of the bloke that appointed Kinnear. He'll always want to strike a bargain and play a low risk high reward strategy when it comes to transfers, both player and managerial, but I don;t think that means we're doomed for Pardew-lites for the rest of eternity.

I went for the: 'Why in 2.5 years at Newcastle have you not been able to implement a style of play that means regardless of the personnel available the players will be comfortable & familiar playing a style that best suits their abilities?' (or something along those lines) Can you name the last Newcastle manager to do this? Not that it is relevant or that they had as long but we generally played the same way under Hughton most of the time, likewise Robson 10 years ago. Both played Kick and Rush a lot of the time though - so not a million miles from what we're playing a lot of the time now - just with better fitting personal. Pardew plays a similar style to Bobby Robson? Are you on some sort of hard drugs? Did you ever watch Bobby Robson''s teams? There was a good deal of long ball/reliance on wingers sticking it in the box. Direct football can be fast paced and exiting like it was under Robson, to even try and compare that with Pardew's backs to wall containment bullshit is fucking ridiculous.
