Because he played in the centre at times and re-distributed the ball very well in that position, however he primarily plays on the wing and his crossing is shocking. He's a fullbacks dream on the wing and also helps the team drive forward. Not many players have an outstanding delivery fwiw.

It would be, but if Ba wants to go... Yeah, it would say a lot about the club if we could have 3 quality strikers all willing to fight it out for the 2 striking spots though (or 1 as it may be). Other clubs can and do do it. The reality is that Ba will probably want garanteed 1st team football every week though.

In the past decade Villa have never been out the top flight and played in Europe a few times. Meanwhile Sunderland twice set the record for the PL's lowest points total and have achieved a best place finish of 10th (I think). Nobody is arguing that they aren't shite, they do have a good stadium, excellent facilities, a really good fanbase etc though. Villa are a more prestigious club without doubt, but I cannot really see how they have a much bigger standing in the modern game than Sunderland, unless something radical happens they're both decent Premiership clubs, nothing more nothing less.
