Couldn't believe the fucking crowds groan when he was stood facing 2 players on the edge of the box, with his only option (other than take them on) to play it back to Danny fucking Simpson.
Wolves had the box packed so I'm guessing he just thought the odds of picking out a man were slim, Pardew will disagree. You could see his plan was to either get to the byline and smash one across the face/pull it back to the penalty spot, or cut in on his left and have a crack himself.
Couple of decent attempts but he was clearly trying too hard to do something in the short time he was on. No doubt that'll be enough to see him dropped until the end of the season.
We're playing Wolves, 18th in the league, AT FUCKING HOME.
It's such a fucking daft situation, man, but ultimately we're throwing away one of the most gifted players we've had this decade for Ryan Taylor and Gabriel Obertan. And anyone piping up with "I support Newcastle United not Hatem Ben Arfa" can piss off the weird sods.
I know it's such a silly statement to make, but slight injuries to 3 of our wide players could do wonders for this club in the long term.
I wish we could stick money on our line-ups like. Anyway here's hoping we don't NEED to bring Ben Arfa on with 30 minutes to go (would be nice for him to get some pitch time, like).
An imbalance would mean the squad was lopsided. Ours isn't, it's just lightweight around the pivot.
We have 2 right footers playing on the left, with an attacking fullback on one side and a defensive fullback on the other. By your definition I don't think we could be any more lopsided.
The only reason our team could be lopsided is because Jonas is better than Obertan.
Fair enough, your useage of the word 'lopsided' in football clearly differs to mine.
