Started 3-5-2 with Tonali playing LCM. He moved over to RCM in the second half. Not sure on formation second half as Italy made some subs and I wasn't really paying attention to the formation. I was literally just on Tonali watch, watching him off the ball etc.

Really encouraging performance from Tonali tonight. I'm actually delighted he got the full 90. HAS to start now. Starting against Wolves.

Not sure what to make if his comments to be honest. I suppose it's hard to tell at the minute as only time will tell. Quite like the bit about buying unheard of players. I suppose we'll see how good he is and how good his scouts are, but once again, only time will tell.

Agree there. You could sense the frustration growing with him from the crowd after his first few touches where he lost the ball each time. Had he went to shoot when he went through and missed, there would have been hell on.

We definitely need to work on performances over the international break. The first 20 minutes of the game today was the NUFC of 2 seasons ago, but the stoppage for the linesman seemed to completely derail us. I think it's a combination of certain platers not really having a full pre season, some players just generally not playing well (yet) and I've said this a few times, the fact we have Burn and Krafth playing centre half. The pair of them can't play out from the back and add to that Pope is shite at kicking. As soon as any of those 3 pick it up, teams press knowing fine well we're probably going to panic and go long or down the wing and 9 times out of 10 we lose the ball and are under pressure again. Which is why we always seem to be sitting back and defending. That last point is the main 1 for me. Can't wait to see Schar back against Wolves.

Absolutely huge win that today. Would have been awful losing and then going into the international break full of negativity. Well done to Howe and the lads today.
