Mate, I've explained it. I don't know what you're talking about. You're now on about buying 2 midfielders. I've explained my opinion twice now, and I don't really understand yours. I'll just leave it there.

I have answered your question. I wouldn't ditch any of them because the sale of Longstsff allows you to invest more money in filling his position (read my last post^). You sell Longstsff for 15 million, you can spend 2 or 3 times that on a replacement in PSR terms. That's a 30 or 40 million pound player and you hopefully make that back by doing better in all the competions you're in. You use the budget we already have on the positions we were already to looking to upgrade in.
-
So let's just keep all our shite players who basically offer nothing? This has been our problem, we don't get rid of deadwood and we end up stuck with them and then not able to bring anyone in due to not raising funds from their sale. Selling Longstaff for £15m in a PSR world doesn't just mean you have £15m to spend. It allows you to spend more in some strange way although that would have to be offset further down the line but you'd hope getting to the latter stages of the champions league would do exactly that. You sell Longstaff and buy someone better to help you do just that. It's called speculating to accumulate.
-
To improve in that area we need to sell in that area first. Selling Longstaff to upgrade to a younger, better player is a must in my eyes. If we don't and just go with what we've got next season, we'll be in a bit of trouble I think with the extra games (even without them). Bruno, Joelinton and Tonali are great, but the drop off after those 3 is huge. We need a 4th player to rotate to some degree as those 3 cannot and won't play ever game. Hopefully Miley can step up as well next season.

He's also said he was disappointed the move to Newcastle broke down in 2022 as ge wanted to come here.

Is the name "The Fountain" a nudge towards the pub in Consett?

I know 2 of the people in this photo (husband and wife) they get in my local cricket club and they're both absolutely lovely people. The lad has a lot to do with the junior cricket and does it all as a volunteer and his wife cooks the cricketers teas every Saturday, again, as a volunteer.

Luke covering all angles so whatever happens, he has a tweet he can quote. Hope and Douglas not much better to be honest. All they're doing is waffling and being as vague as possible just for the clicks.

I live in north West Durham and its 11 miles to St james park from where I live. It's 20 miles to the stadium of shite. Double the distance, but I should support my "local side" sunderland according to them. But then anyone from Northumberland who supports sunderland is fair game and a dedicated massive lads fan. Hilarious!

They're not normal people are they?

Stop stating facts ffs! Facts don't come into mackem story telling. If it sounds good and paints NUFC in a bad way, facts and truth don't matter.
-
I bet they'll be working themselves up into a right little moody this weekend with Sam Fender playing at St. James' starting tonight. Fake stories, fewm and dummy spitting will be in full flow for the next few days and then into next week until they make up something else NUFC related to be angry about.
-
Exactly the same yes. That's why they brought checks in at away turnstiles to stop people doing it. Rightly so too.
-
Fair point, I suppose everyone will have an opinion on what suits them best. That's only natural.
-
100% not, that's not the way at all. You should only get the point if YOU attend the away fixture. Those that travelled to away games on other peoples season tickets, it does beg the question as to why they didn't have their own season ticket. They were pretty cheap during the Ashley years and the away loyalty points dropped right down for almost every away game. There was always plenty available too over the years. The away ticket system is never going to please everyone unfortunately. But in my opinion, the current way is the fairest way and rewards those that actually attend away games these days, not those that used to just buy the tickets and sell them on with no intention of attending the game. The fact this has only become an issue the last few seasons since we've been pretty successful, speaks volumes in my opinion.
-
Rightly so. People built up loyalty points for years only to now not be able to go because someone who picks and chooses which games they want to go to decides they fancy away games once again. The system works the way it is, it rewards loyalty. So let's just leave it.
