Let them bullshit their attendances. It plays into their narrative that they're a massive club which is what they want to believe. Unfortunately for them, they then can't back this up financially (in terms of finance raised from 40k paying fans every other week) and so will always fall way short of their fans' expectations. Expectations which all stem from their made up attendances. Its a vicious circle.

But my point still stands. PIF are not going to rub anyone up the wrong way if they can get what they want whilst someone else does the dirty work for them, which it seems is exactly what's happening. We're only 2 and a half years into this and I personally think they're playing an absolute blinder.

We haven't needed to do and don't need to do it if somebody else is doing it for us (City). We can sit back and reap the benefits without having to do a thing.
