Did you not see Krul and Saylor at the other end like not to mention Tiote who were all better than Best. No they weren't. Saylor had his worst game of the season by a distance. The not-penalty was bad aye but other than that he was vital to the win. -
Bruce having a go at the fans a lot these days, on his last legs surely.

I can certainly see the merit with keeping Raylor on at left back and playing Santon right back mind, that might even be better in fact as Raylor hasn't been bad at all the last few games while Simpson has caused us some bother. -

Because I think we'll be a better team if we play what I think is our best starting 11. We'll get nothing against Spurs if we play like we did today in the 2nd half. While dropping players that are playing well for someone else that has hardly played in the last 12 months based purely on nothing but reputation will be awful for player morale, it's basically telling players that it doesn't matter how well you play when you get the chance if you're not in the best 11 on paper you will be out. Ben Arfa needs to be patient and take his chance when it comes along, not have it handed to him on a plate at the expense of someone else that has earned their place in the starting 11. What kind of effect will it have on Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Santon's morale if it seems like no matter what they do they can't get a start? Play them ffs. What has Ben Arfa done to deserve to start over Best? Marveaux and Santon I can understand as Obertan and Taylor haven't been great recently but Ben Arfa walking straight into the team over a player in form is ridiculous. Then when exactly do we start him? When either one of our strikers or Jonas fall out of form or Ben Arfa comes on and has a cameo so good that Pardew just can't leave him out. Any other player I would probably agree, but in this case, nah, he's got to play. I would be quite willing to put money on him being our best player going forward and no matter how well others are doing, we need to make space for him in the team unless he proves otherwise. Plus, depending on how long the wait is going an extended period without even giving him a chance is a recipe for disaster with regards to his attitude. -

We should bring our better players in while we're winning, not after we lose. -

These are the changes I'd like to see as well, but I don't think he'll make them tbh. -
"To be 2 down in such a short space of time simply smacks of bad organisation and poor managment . Bruce has done everything in his power to reduce us to a pitiful mess, a team who cowers in the face of small clubs like WBA. Yet the fight back today showed that courage and the never say die attitude that has been the sunderland way for generations endures. Bruce can never extinguish it." This will be a decent barometer of just how far we are off the league's 'elite'. -
I'll give this rating shit a go - Krul - 10 - Man of the match without a doubt. Fantastic keeper. Simpson - 5 - Did some alright stuff but really, really needs to stop backing off and inviting crosses. Saylor - 6 - Great last ditch defending but nearly cost us for the penna. Colo - 7 - His determination to play it out every time is great when we're going forward and looking for goals, but can cost us when we're sitting back. We shouldn't be sitting back though, so he's fine by me. Raylor - 7 - Didn't do much wrong and saved our skins a few times. Obertan - 6 - Decent in the first, unsurprisingly ineffective in the second. Cabaye - 6 - Helped keep possession and kept us moving forward, not surprised he was buggered as he was working his fucking arse off. Tiote - 7 - Was class in the first half, was essentially another centre back in the second half but he had a job and he did it well. Jonas - 8 - Superb goal, a constant danger and like Cabaye I'm not shocked that he was knackered. Ba - 7 - Can't argue with a goal, and he did fairly well otherwise as well. Best - 6 - Was pretty good in the first half, didn't really have the opportunity to do much in the second. Ben Arf- oh wait, Marv - ah, hang on, Lovenkrands - 5 - A typical uninteresting game from him. Should never have been brought on. Guthrie - didn't have enough time to make any kind of impact. Pardew - 4 - Same team and game plan from the Blackburn game, which was fine, until he decided to fuck it all up to hell in the second half and decided it would make great tactical sense if we spectacularly imploded. Wish he would hurry up and learn his fucking lesson about Lovenkrands.

It was the whole mentality man, us sitting back and inviting pressure never ever f***ing works and we only got away with the 3 points (or any points at all for that matter) due to bad refereeing, luck, Tim Krul and last ditch defending.
