It is pretty weird. Only thing I see important about preseason games is so players gain match fitness, and ideally see some patterns of play develop. The score is completely meaningless.

Looks to have good size, pace and skill. Exactly the type of player we missed last season when Isak or Wilson were injured and the other had to play the full game. Leading to more injuries and fatigue. Our scouting ans recruitment has been excellent the last few years, so I’m sure we see potential that our coaching team can unlock.

I cant read the Athletic article thats linked in that story, but I’m hazarding a guess old Callum at Football Insider doesnt have a clue about the fee and is just farming engagement. I guess we’ll get the official numbers in time. If it actually turns out to be £20M then fair enough. That would be extremely inflated. I just think it’s to early for this to be discussed with so much uncertainty around it. My guess is the fee is inflated but its far less than £20M
