  1. Also think it will do Gordon well to earn his place back in the team

    St James' Park

Villa Park is a much nicer stadium than Goodison too and I think if 50,000 is big enough for them then this is a good move. Our redevelopment is obviously much more tricky and would likely mean an expansion of level 7 over the Gallowgate. Unfortunately, this just isn't going to give the fans or the club what it needs. If PIF will provide a state of the art new stadium, we'd be crazy not to take it.
  3. They had the cup at the metro centre today. Not well advertised and the kids aren’t off school so there was no queue when we got there.
  4. Yes, apparently the last few weeks have been bedlam in the club shop. That said, that response to the faulty shirt is very poor. There’s no guarantee the Carabao patch will come off without causing damage to the shirt or the patch itself, or that it can be put back on. If they can’t replace it, they should have fully funded the order.
  5. I thought the same but the club’s announcement said it will go up Percy Street so who knows!
  6. Bus parade being announced tonight (that's from a city councillor). Apparently they're building some temporary stands on the town moor too.
  7. This event is what happens when you haven't won a cup for over 50 years. Sounds absolutely shite. Like most others, I just want to see the bus go past with my family, then go to the pub with my mates to celebrate again. Every other club manages this no problem.
  8. It was incredible work yet again from Wor Flags. They are the best around!
  9. Seriously though, what do we think, 300k out in Newcastle that day?
  10. Neville has been decent toward us. He was probably the most vocal pundit about how the soul of the club had gone under Ashley, always talks us up and that line yesterday when he said ‘I’m almost crying for them’ was very fitting at a time I was trying to keep it all together.
  11. Does that mean we can no longer sing 'we're gonna win fuck all again, we're gonna win fuck all'?
  12. I'm at work but no working getting done, feel like an emotional wreck. It is surreal seeing that trophy with black and white ribbons on it. Town was great last night, car horns blaring everywhere, people everybody so happy and hugging strangers in the street!

    Kieran Trippier

Emotions are high today but I genuinely think he was the most important signing since the takeover. He was absolutely world class in that first 18 months, but more than that, he was the leader of the group and set the tone for everything. A club legend in my eyes, so pleased for him yesterday, he was brilliant.
