Eddie deserves a chance given all he’s achieved with us. But next season is that chance, anything less than European football again and he’ll have to go.
-
Our best English player, absolutely crazy decision. Recent form or not, you have to take him .
-
Aye, fair play to him, can’t deny that. But people have achieved more without behaving in such an undignified manner.
-
Yeah, I don't mind Arsenal, just fucking hate Arteta and the way he conducts himself on the side of the pitch. Absolute no need for a grown man to behave how he does.
-
Yes, makes sense. I was told by someone at the club in February that it was also going to be at the top of the Gallowgate too, but that must have been knocked on the head. It's good to know that the demand for standing is being acknowledged by the club and they're acting on it.
-
They always take ages to get going too. Really drags on, just do a quick lap and get off.
-
Plus how much did Bayern pay for Jackson? They pay when they need to.
-
I think that makes my eyes hurt even more

I also really liked the first northern rock home kit. This is amongst the very worst, but some of the Wonga kits give it a run for its money
-
We’ve got to play him ahead of Joelinton next season. The difference in quality of first touch is reason enough alone.
-
Yeah, it’s been good there the few times I’ve been. I’ve certainly come to the conclusion that standing over sitting has the biggest impact on my enjoyment of going to the game. Always a better atmosphere.

Forgot the nice feeling you get when you wake up and remember Newcastle won yesterday

Asking for the sack here. Would rather play our bench!

I don't think the corporate and season ticket waiting lists will ever be the same thing. It'll be more likely in this scenario that somebody would buy a corporate ticket and then complain about price increase to try to jump the ST queue.
-
Yeah, I think we win this 2-1.
-
Likewise, I only wanted the retro training gear. Took the risk and renewed my Mags membership (it was still on there as I only upgraded to Mags+ in Jan)
-
I take your point but ST holders are obviously not complaining about access to home tickets. I do think we’re in a new reality where Champions League campaigns won’t be as regular. I think we were able to get the likes of Bruno and Tonali because they thought we’d be backed by Saudi’s to become title contenders. Nobody is under that illusion now, and last summer was the first indication of this. So we’ll see demand level out a little but as the Bruce years showed, we have a large core support base that will be there regardless.
-
You can’t point the finger at members for the empty seats yesterday. Ballot has been over subscribed for every game this season. If ST holders can’t be arsed to go and put their seats up for sale within a few days of the game, that’s on them. You can’t expect members to suddenly be able to drop everything to go. I was there yesterday as I anticipated ST holders would put them up for sale given our recent run of form. Just wasn’t expecting so many to be available!

This. I believe he’s been our most important signing since the takeover. He was brilliant in those first few years. I was happy to see him have a great game in the final and to lift the cup, he deserved it so much. Will go down as a legend for me, easily the best right back we’ve had in my 40+ years on this planet.
-
Agree that the home shirts haven’t been great. The retro and originals ranges have been top notch though, and I’m sure there’s more in the pipeline.
-
It’s probably because I can rarely buy through general sales because of work (and I spent most of my adult life as a ST holder), so it’s ballot or bust for me and I feel like I’ve hardly been there this season.
-
Yeah, I apply for every game and have 5 successes this season. Still feels demoralising!
-
Not sure how I feel about that. Obviously would love to get one again, but if you miss out then chances of getting a ticket will be reduced. It’s hard enough to get a ticket as it is.
-
Not that it means much now, but I have to say when Gordon scored it was the loudest I think I’ve heard us celebrate a goal for a long time.
