Im not saying he’s shit and maybe you’re right increased depth just means more options. Replace ‘need’ with ‘could do with’ possibly. Miggy does very well for us but is Gordon a better player than Miggy on the opposite side and are there better RW players out there, I think yes to both of those that’s all I mean. Next season we’ll look to go up another level and RW is an area we can improve on is my point I think ?

Agree 100%. Miggy’s been a great servant and still an impactful player for us but he’ll be a squad player rather than a regular starter in the next year or two.

I think taken off during this obvious mental month of sale shirts being sold.

I went to the club shop yesterday to get Bruno on the back of my daughter’s shirt that she’s getting for Christmas. They couldn’t do it because they had no letter ‘o’ left.

The guy showed me the list of names available, top of the list was Dummett. Not quite the same mate ?

Aye the lads I met after who watched in bars around KGX had a better time that we did at Wembley.

After the league cup final, I really wished I'd travelled to London, even without a ticket. Being in Newcastle was OK, just didn't have the build up/atmosphere I was expecting. It kind of felt like a regular match day watching in a pub.

Today, violence (football related) in Italy is at its lowest level... I have been going to San Siro since the early 80s and in that decade something serious happened EVERY Sunday, inside and outside the stadium.

The only serious events that happen in recent years occur almost exclusively if/when groups of away fans ( Italian fans) meet in motorway service stations.

Or when foreign fans come the day before the match and become an easy target because, after 40 years, they still haven't understood what they should not to do.

I’m sorry, what should they not do? One of ours got stabbed in the back walking home with two friends. It’s the most cowardly of your fans that you should be looking at. If that happened in Newcastle two games in a row we’d be kicked out of Europe for a few years.

I'd hate to see him go to Barcelona. They're whole deal now is ridiculous and they are living of their past glory just like Man Utd.

Real Madrid on the other hand would be fine. I'd be alright with that assuming it's a good whack of money and it's his choice to leave.

You do realise Barca are the current champions of Spain? They’ve hardly done a Man Utd but are dodgy as fuck admittedly.

  6. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that there are gaps and the atmosphere is worse this season than before. I also think it’s fair to say that the people running the club only have a very corporate view of the game. They need fans to voice opinions on how to improve the match going experience. We’re often told how great we are as a fan base but with no action we’ll be as shite as most other clubs in the league.

  7. I would add to any arguments put forward to improve the atmosphere that it's in the club's commercial interest to find solutions to this problem. Our fanbase and atmosphere, for all its problems, are still major assets in attracting new fans.

So give us a massive standing/signing section and let ST holders move/members choose their own seats. Fans are happier, atmosphere is better, more new fans attracted...everyone wins! Only downside is if we have enough fans to fill up these new sections. I was surprised to hear only 5k wanted to move to the Strawberry corner at the start of this season.

  8. Another point regarding the atmosphere is that the new owners didn’t do enough/anything to engage the fans who gave up their season ticket to boycott Ashley. These are typically the more militant, noisy fans.

Not that the atmosphere was always brilliant before, I remember complaints even when we doing well under Sir Bobby.

The way a match is playing out will always be a factor, but the Gallowgate Corner barely stopped singing last night and it was deafening at times. As is the case most games

Create sections like that in the other corners of the ground and you've got a decent atmosphere. It's not rocket science

Not creating an excuse for the atmosphere, but I was sat in lower Milburn towards the Leazes and I couldn't hear the strawberry corner at all. This is likely because of that drum of the away fans and I think it played a part in songs not travelling around the ground.

I was grateful for the few people around me trying to get behind the team but atmosphere was generally poor I have to say.

  10. So the people complaining about people buying away tickets and not attending themselves are now buying tickets and not attending? But now the seats are empty rather than giving them to fans who have no other way of getting to away games. Unbelievable.
