  1. This has nothing to do with Ashley and/or his PR.
  2. Shhhhh Pardew reckons its the spies. Shhhhh Pardew reckons its the spies. Imagine him mentioning that after a poor result Should get sacked just for that.

Paper talk, but think I read that Short was prepared to back MON with £8m in January.
  4. We only need one versatile forward who can play across a front 3. 3 players capable of playing in one position is sufficient. That's if we intend on playing a front 3, of course.
  5. There's other positions that need upgrading before we start looking at 2 strikers. We could do with one more like.
  6. Obviously. It's not that obvious. A player being rewarded with a much better contract after scoring 26 in 49 starts is perfectly realistic. Other contracts should have no bearing at all. Theo Walcott is kicking up much more of a fuss than Ba and he's praised for it. I don't know what he's demanding, but if the reported figures are right, it's not realistic at all. Never mind just the actual salary. A whinging(/through advisors) player with injury worries should not be on the same money as our brilliant, in all aspects, captain. 80k a week for a proven 1 in 2 striker is definitely realistic. How many of those are there and what would they be getting paid? The cost of replacing Ba would far outweigh the cost of keeping him. I don't think he has missed a game through injury once since he joined while Colo is missing more and more btw. Plus his "attitude" isn't bad at all compared to some players. I don't think it is. Not at this club atm. Others would demand the same/significantly higher wages. So would new players coming in. There's definitely players out there who has potential. And they'd probably also demand less, and have a bigger sell-on value. Aubameyang springs to mind. We also have Cissé on our books who has shown he can do the same job, and there's always the argument that we'd get more goals/points in total if we'd not play to Ba's wish. Won't get in to the injury thing any more. It's pretty well documented that it's a huge risk with him.

Not really, he's happy picking up his wage, we're still looking to sell. It's just whether he'll find a move before his contract runs out that is the only variable. He's nowhere near good enough as proven again last night. Who was though? did anyone prove themselves last night, for me he was the best of a bad bunch. Shola was turgid, as was Marveux. Willo/Perch/Fergie.I think its slightly unfair to completely write him off after one game, and surely the same could be said of anyone who played last night? Bigi and Elliott were alright, that's all. I'm not writing him off after one game I'm writing him off on the basis of his career to date. "Not good enough as proven yesterday". In a decent game for him, beinh one of the better performers Sure, dislike him because he's a t***, but that just not true at all. He was distinctly average in a team of poor performers. 5 or 6/10 at best, do I class that as a good performance? No. That's not really what I was getting at though. You can't say his performance against Bordeaux proves he's not good enough. That's not true at all. Been ages since he played, he's still young, and he was one of the better performers - if not "good". Bit hard to shine too with our missing tactics and horrible form.

    Alan Pardew

Nobody cares about the result. It's our change back to 4-4-2 and those laughable subs which angries people. Pardew couldn't do much wrong here, but he still managed to somewhat make a mess out of it.

Good enough display. Always has a good attitude and works hard on the pitch. Happily welcome him back.
  13. Don't mind the result. Just interesting to watch our youngsters. Amalfitano and wee ginger on for the Ameobi's would be nice.

If right footed - drag the ball to the left, then quickly drag the ball forward between the legs. Might cause some anger amongst friends, but frankly, that just makes it feel even better. Simple and so effective.
  17. Not sure about in the start, but afterwards there was a really poor atmosphere. So quiet.
  18. Made me sad yesterday. Shadow of him old self. Really needs to be replaced.
