I bet the plan pretty much was tie up the easy ones quick before anyone else come in for them. Ba, Cabaye and Abeid was relatively easy, while Marveaux was abit harder. Now the haggeling begins, N'Zog, Erding, Matuidi, probably more to follow during the summer. Ashley is a buisness man, and the one thing he understands is money. Hopefully he is possible to negitoate with. Beacause the frees we've got now and Cabaye could really make a good foundation for the season to come if we just add a goalscorer or two (pref sturridge and n'zog theese two signings might actually get Ashley back on good terms with newcastle fans eyh?). If there is any money left I would like us to get in for a CB aswell to complete the defence.

I think Ashley is mostly testing the water with players to see if anyone will come reasonably first. Taking it from top to bottom using the managers wishlist. Obviously Pardew will get the cheapest ones on that list.

I don't really know all that about long. But would really like a more hardworking forward. Seeing as we got all theese advanced players now I would like someone to chase defenders aswell at times against hard opositions.

I've heard of it many times, that clubs implement it when selling younger eager players who doesn't want to wait for their time to shine. But apart from Alex wich was more of an trick to get him his work permit, I can't recall ever to remember anyone using this type of clause. Does anyone remember seeing it beeing used ever?

What I really like about that midfield trio of cabaye, tiote and matuidi, is all the variety it offers. Tiote got the speed to force his way past oponents, they all can sit back. Cabaye spreading around neat passes to both flanks. Just the joy of football right there, a dynamic side with a trio capable of defence and offense at the same time got real fire power up top! Want another good striker though and matuidi now! gogo buy!

If he'd come he'd probably be on a maxed out newcastle wage with nifty appereance and goal bonuses. Hopefully.

Financial fair play should be more about deviding the money amongst the teams rather then limiting teams to what they earn.

I never would expect us to spunk high figures. When we went into the summer transfer window, we had alot of things needing assessment. Left back backup, forward options, right winger options. We had players like kuqi, campbell etc go on a free. Clearly we need another backup for centreback. And I don't really want kadar anymore far to injury prone. Don't think he had one single season w/o injuries yet. If we can use this oportunity to get some more players here and there. Mostly on the cheap the better. But to use 7mp on a player shouldn't be all that out of context.

Yet I would hate the management for it, I can see why they would consider selling him.
