It was a goal against Fulham ffs. Guessing your expectations have dropped then. Felt like more than just a goal on Saturday, i'm sure i'm not the only one in the ground that felt that. Special moment. Why would my expectations drop? I've always maintained with Ben Arfa in our side, anything is possible, he's that good. I fancy us to be top 8 if we steer clear of any major injuries to key players. The talent is the there, Remy/Ben Arfa will be too much for a lot of sides in this league. Special Moment. Were you there, neesy? Did you not celebrate, like? My calves are still sore as f*** from the damage my seat did. It was f***ing class, and a perfect way to win a game. Honestly, he didn't even have to be there, i'm sure the radio in the house would have caused such a reaction, or a packed bar. It was an incredible feeling of joy and relief mixed in with belief. Anyone who just seen/heard it as just another goal has clearly lost all their passion for the game not only as a Newcastle fan but as a football fan, because i'm sure even if i was neutral watching that goal, it would have got me off my seat with an applause.

Why boycott games and miss witnessing bits of magic moments in life such as Ben Arfa on Saturday creating euphoria all around the ground. Do we really want him doing that in a half empty stadium?

People allowed to be p*ssed off yet? Just checking like. As long as it's directed towards Ashley/JFK

I agree about Tiote - he was a revelation when he first arrived, a player we have needed for years but I reckon Pardew's management has ruined him. IF we got a better manager both he AND Anita could play a role in away games. If he went to a better-managed club I am sure he would do well again. Pardew getting the blame for Tiote being s*** now, ffs! He couldn't even get in Mclaren's Twente side, it's not beyond the realms of doubt that he is actually limited as a footballer and he just adapted very quickly and well to our league but now has been totally found out for the s*** he actually is, not everything has to go back to Pardew.

I don't think anyone believes that really, I certainly don't. But I do believe he would want signings in, like any manager.
-
Personally whatever he says should just be brushed off by ourselves but no doubt he will get slaughtered for whatever he comes out with even though we all know this is by no means his fault but he has to come out and take the blunt of it. It’s horrible situation for him to be put in but he knew things would be like this when he signed up, but even he probably didn’t think it would be this embarrassing.

first XI and half a bench. Hence good enough, not brilliant. We could in Ashley`s mind fluke a good finish again. So if we have another good finishing position, it's another fluke?
-
It would have been the PR team up all last night thinking of ways to answer certain questions which will be fed in to Pardew in the near future. Pardew will just be giving the usual shite to say to the press and we all can do fuck all about it, including him and just have to put up with it until eventually Ashley deems he's recovered enough of his loan to piss off out of our club once and for all.

Bitterly disappointed we never brought in a striker, and possibly a young winger if i was being greedy but i did say after we got Remy as long we kept the likes of Ben Arfa/Cabaye/Cisse, our team is good enough with the addition of Remy to have a good season. We don't have Europe to contend with so realistically our squad is of a decent enough size to compete in the PL. Unless a big injury crisis occurs where one of Cisse/Remy/HBA are out for a long spell, Pardew still has the talent within the squad, so lack of signings can't be named an 'excuse' if these stay fit. Suppose now we will just have to see how it goes up until Jan where then the squad will once again be reviewed and Ashley will look at the January sale to see which contracts are expiring in 6 months time. All in all yesterday was rather depressing but the season as whole we can still be positive about with the talent we already possess and i'm confident we can show ourselves in much better light than some may expect.

It seems like people forget we hoof any free kick we get in our own half I don't see Pardew stopping that Clutching at straws now aren't you You're right but is that all you could think of to discredit us from the way we are starting to play? One game man, where we played attacking football for about twenty mins. The first time he managed to field his strongest 11 in a long time? Think they are valid reasons to be positive. In his mind, that wasn't his strongest 11 though. If he thinks that isn't the best 11, the blokes an absolute idiot. You've answered your own question. Can you honestly say as soon as they become available he won't shoehorn Taylor, Tiote or Jonas in there? Tiote yes. Other two no. Tiote should be nowhere near the first 11 if you want to play decent fast flowing football like we did toward the end of the Fulham game. He shouldn't be, i personally prefer Anita but fancy Pards to go with that, wouldn't surprise if it went 4-4-2 with Sissoko drifting out wide when Remy goes up top. Can't see a way in for Jonas and MYM/Colo have kept two clean sheets so be a surprise was Taylor to waltz back in after his idioctic actions at City, Tiote Cabaye Sissoko HBA Remy Cisse

We shall see, i think Tiote will come back in, MYM/Colo think will stay and can't see Jonas walking back in either. Really think we have good reasons to start being more positive on here.

Right on que. The fake bid! Classic stuff. 2m. I can imagine Joe and Fat Mike giggling like schoolgirls on the phone, "say two million joe, say two million!"

After reading some comments seems people are starting to realise that Pardew has actually been trying for a while to get the players to build play from the back and keep the ball rather than look long and play hoof ball. Think he will surprise a few on here with the type of football we start to play with HBA/Remy/Cisse in the side. Things are certainly looking up. Shame about the lack of support from board level to help Pardew along but at this moment, i'll just take no outgoings and go with what we have got and i think we can still expect a pleasant season ahead.

Feel sorry for Timmy, he doesn't deserve to be ousted out like this.

Arsenal of all clubs should have been able to drive Madrid’s negotiation skills better than that. Horrible price to pay, lovely player but the price is ridiculous.

Must be a great day this for fans of other clubs, wish i could feel their excitement

Unlike me to post on my mobile, but I just thought I'd pop in to say I hope you all enjoyed Pardew's 20 minute of total football with pretty much his strongest 11 fielded for the very first time. Here's to the 3 points and I hope there are plenty more of them to come, and I'm pretty dam sure there will be...in the words of Pardew...'trust me' Enjoy your night boys and girls, we nowhave a nice international break now to stew over our victory...lovely!

you don't honestly think that do you? We were absolutely horrific and should have been two down at half time Think what? Professional manner: We kept our heads when they were trying to make us lose ours. Minimal fuss: Was never really a point where you're thinking we are going out here. Minimal damage: Nobody came out the game injured or lacking fitness. Target achieved: Get through to next round Nice home tie: Opposition is Leeds Yeah I think all that actually..... Professional in the manner they dominated us for most of the game? Minimum fuss in that most of the game it felt we might go out we didn't score until the 87 minute? Did they f***, man. I'm sure this will become fact by the end of the week, but it just didn't happen. First half, yes, they were much better than us. But that was more down to their physicality and desire, than us being outplayed. Second half, they barely threatened. We were comprehensively outplayed for the first half. That's simply how it is. So from most of the game to the first half? That was in direct response to Inochis post about the first half. We didn't get anything like a grip on the game until half way through the 2nd half. That's most of the game. Cheers though. Thought second half we were much better from the off with Shola's intro. Have a go at the lads and pardew all you like, but end of the day they got through, accept it and move on to Fulham.
