Like Sky commentary this, 'Newcastle under siege', fuck off they've had two corners man in 10 minutes, calm down! They were desperate for a Morecambe goal! Some of the reactions on here is like you were. End of the day we've came through a potential upset. Whilst we were boarding the bus back home, Everton were still struggling at home to lower league side, they can be difficult nights. Second half we were in control of the game and i was never really thinking ‘well we aren't in the next round’ at any point.

Thought Debuchy had a decent game myself, would hardly say he was shown up. Yanga was poor, didn't do much right, doesn't matter like, everyone can have an off game regardless of opposition.

you don't honestly think that do you? We were absolutely horrific and should have been two down at half time Think what? Professional manner: We kept our heads when they were trying to make us lose ours. Minimal fuss: Was never really a point where you're thinking we are going out here. Minimal damage: Nobody came out the game injured or lacking fitness. Target achieved: Get through to next round Nice home tie: Opposition is Leeds Yeah I think all that actually.....

Nothing more pleasing than seeing Shola in the flesh, fair play to him.

A fair few of our fans actually wanted those headlines, that's the worrying thing. I think most fans just want us to look like a decent premier football team that can pass the ball around a bit. Most fans would have been happy with that, understand last nights performance once again disappointed them, not arguing against that. However before the game were some fans talking up a loss just to increase the chances of Pardew out.

Always wanted Newcastle to sign him and revive end his career. Lovely player.

Just another Thursday.

Gaël Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis
BrettNUFC replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
I didn't really feel sorry for him at all. Last night was a good chance for him to step in and show us all what he is capable of. He let himself down hugely with a terrible display. He was non existent and as a central midfielder, you just can't do that. No point feeling sorry for him. The fringe players need to come in and step up, prove a point. All he proved last night is that he is nowhere near ready for first team action. Hopefully he can pull it around. Heartless kernt I love bigi -

Felt a bit sorry for Bigi last night, never got into the game properly at any point to show what he can do, was a little bit bullied really, thought Gosling coped a lot better with the physicality of them. Hope we stick with him though as he certainly has the ability to shine, was just fairly poor last night. -
Lucky to escape that tackle without serious injury, could have been nasty, but tbh it's about time someone did make his rolling around involve a bit of pain, his diving is terrible.

Would be nice to start this game with a bit more puropose about us, looked on edge last couple of games. Last season we generally started the first half well and then after Pards’ half time team talk we would come out and crumble. Last couple games we've been asleep for 45 minutes then after Pards’ team talk we’ve came out and been much livelier.

Can't see Marv starting 3 games in row, be lucky if he's managed that in his career. Especially in the space of a week!

Wouldn't say you should be changing your opinion yet but just at least gather some positivity from somewhere and hope things can change and in time you might not want him sacked, obviously nobody expects that to change just after last nights win.
-
Really? Genuine question, do you know anything about his coaching? Blame Beardsley, at least that's a new one
-
Well the rest of them didn't. First comments i've read for the day....it's a good start lads

It will 'just beat Morecambe man' then. There will be no positives from tonight on here. If a win is gained in a professional manner, it will be the standard of opposition being questioned and Pardew's tactics/team selection having no bearing as we should have done this regardless, if we get beat it's a simple metldown and a few more Pardew out people come to the fore. Similar sort of reaction if we scrape through in et or pens. It's all irrelevant Brett. Pardew's s***. Yep just a no win situation tonight for any of us really. We beat morecambe, the neutral will say it's only Morecambe, we lose, and the whole country is laughing. There is a win situation, it involves us winning the game. But all this 'people will just say this, people will say that' is nonsense man. Nothing's going to change the man's lack of ability. Not just about Pardew, players should take the credit as well if they get through. Might be a poor side but this could still turn out to be a tough game and not a romp some may think. I just look forward to seeing a couple of the younger lads try and stake a claim to gain more game time, there is certainly ability there, they just need to start to show it.

Actaully forgot about Suarez, what's he actually doing at the moment?
