  1. They are alright on FM. 'They are alright on FM when you get a couple of squad fillers on a tight budget ' Think smiley on the end of the sentence clearly showed i was joking on, but if you wish to dissect my quotes like you do with Pardew's to twist things around, by all means carry on neesy....
  2. Is it just me though or do loans not seem expensive? They are alright on FM when you get a couple of squad fillers on a tight budget But now we are talking 2 million vanishing just for having a player for 1 year and chances are, if he actually turns out to have a good season, the price will probably inflate to buy if a deal hasn't already been set up with a set price, which not many seem to do.
  3. Personally rather we looked to actually try to sign players permanently rather than loan them in, think it's alright grabbing one star loan in Remy but when you starting looking at 2 or 3 costing a couple of million each for the year, rather we looked elsewhere even if there is a slight dip in quality and had this loan option last resort...although some would argue with 1 week to go this is last resort tactics now. At this moment in time i'd just be going all out for Gomis now. We've got ourselves in another transfer window mess and it's remarkable we have actually let it come to this once again, massive shame really.
  4. Chelsea beat us in that asian cup or whatever s**** it was when JJ tried that ridiculous chip down the middle. If Deportivo is counting, i'm taking Chelsea
  5. Quite like the look of this team for tonight. Still got experience in there mixed in with young lads.
  6. Has this been confirmed then? I would be ecstatic. No, I'm just assuming Pardew isn't a complete imbecile. Perfect game to see what he can do. I'd rather see our out of form main striker being given a chance to fill his boots, like. Pretty sure this is exactly what I said and you accused me of being "negative"? Is it? Did I? Yes it is. I said to Brett that we should play a strong team, win well and give our big players some confidence. You said that the club couldn't win and that I was being negative. Just to clarify, i wouldn't mind Cisse starting, he can gain confidence from goals and hasn't looked in danger of being injury prone so far. Was more concerned this for a HBA type player.
  7. Aye your username backs up giving it a miss tonight. No point in tonight is there, come back when we are good and that. that's it Brett lad, you show him what it's like to be the bestest fan in the whole wide world. Sounds like he is a supafan. Might change my username to nufc4abitseehowitgoes 30 years supporting this shower of s***, 23 as a season ticket holder and countless away games. But missing 90 mins means I only watch when we are good There's just not much point in missing it though really is there? It's a bit of over reaction. Just watch it and see how it goes, never know we might actually score a few and a couple of the younger lads coming through might impress.

    Alan Pardew

Good thing you still have that season ticket, eh?
  11. Not far off, just mines black and white! 'Go Pardew...Go Pardew... Go Go...Go Pardew...'
  12. Surely as long as you get through with minimal amount of squad damage, it's a good night. The aim is just to be in the next round, that's all that will do regardless of who is selected. The games don't exist in isolation though. The players need some goals and confidence. They won't get any of that from sitting at home whilst the reserves squeeze through. Quite possibly, but your also running the risk of injuring a Ben Arfa for Saturday or longer. Liverpool lost Toure/Allen/Cissokho though injury, easily done. Could have been a Sturridge or Gerrard. I’d prefer we went through with the kids out but obviously that carries a bigger risk of going out, a mixture of both would suffice for me. I don’t fancy seeing HBA playing that’s for sure though. When Ben Arfa's walking down the street, he could trip and break his leg, or someone could crash into his car. We can't make him a Bubble Boy ( "Moops!" ) I just don't subscribe to the theory that we must wrap players in cotton wool as much as possible. We treat footballers as if playing football is the absolute worst thing they can do for their health and I'm bloody sick of it. A risk ffs. I watch football to be entertained by my team playing good stuff and scoring goals, not to watch some blokes not getting injured. "Great game tonight, awful drab football but wow, they all looked fine at the end" Good God man. Certain players with a history record like Ben Arfa's don't need to play in games like this? Half the people on here were furious when he got injured in an away leg of the Europa Cup and sure enough Pardew took all the blame for it on here for selecting him, now he should be starting against Morecambe! Good God man.
  13. Also have Toure in my team. -4, or just f*** this week? He wasn't going to get loads against ManUtd anyway.. Has it been mentioned how long the druggie is out for?

  16. Only have him back if he's prepared to play on the left wing again and play in a team. No good him coming in and demanding to play striker again and shafting Cisse in the process. His demands was the start of our downfall imo. We played our best football with Ba left Cisse top HBA right, we shouldn't have allowed him to dictate things his own way the following season when all he wanted was a bigger move elsewhere. A thousand times yes. Yeah, we did though because the manager's a f***ing idiot. He was on this occassion, i'll give you that And i'm sure he has been a few more
  17. So the two on loan get in the side ahead of our number 9 striker...sure he'll be pleased. Great management. While i agree, i would hope the manager picks on form, whoever that is. Would love Pards to have the balls to pick players on form. Don't think he's every done it once in his time here. He picks on name only. We've pretty much got an 11 which are guaranteed a starting place no matter how pish they've been. No competition for places bar left back slot. Too many players coasting along. Considering he was playing Obertan over HBA, MYM and Santon both had spells on the bench on arrival, both Ba and Cisse have been dropped, he withdrew Cisse over Shola only on Saturday so i wouldn't say he just picks the name. He certainly has favourites such as Jonas/Tiote who seem to play regardless of form, understand that more. He did back then Brett but we've just watched a whole season of him being so dumb is untrue. I know you hate to accept it but in time you will, Pardew has gone, he's a fading light in your NUFC world. Learn to accept his fate.........for your own sake...... I did bold out the point he said.....'don't think he's ever did it in his time here' and as you confirmed 'he did back then', which proves the first point is wrong I'll keep the faith in him turning this around until the light has well and truly been blown, it is fading but i can still see it flickering

Yeah don't get me wrong, if Cisse gets put in a side with the quality and service and fails to deliver, by all means drop him, i'm sure even he would understand that. However from the two games so far and the service he's been offered, dropping him for new signings straight away would be foolish imo and unfair. He deserves a run in the side when we’ve got our full team out to prove he has the quality to shine again in our side.
