Good interview from Gordon, gives me a lot of confidence that Carsleyās going to be a coach that lets the players express themselves more

Thereās a lot bubbling away under the surface and in the press columns, weāll likely not know more about how theyāre all getting on until January and how that window goes. The idea that Howeās āplaying styleā is coming up as an issue with Mitchell seems frankly absurd. Is that just hack nonsense? Heās been here nowhere near long enough to have a view on it surely. If Mitchell did have an issue with it so far then he could go fuck himself in my opinion
-
Whether he comes here or not, his value will never come close to what they could have got this window ever again. Guehi will likely have a good choice of clubs provided he doesnāt get injured but Palace are the main losers here. Weāre losers for chasing him so long. Guehi, not really a loser or a winner really
-
So simple, and equitable. No chance sadly as the politics in the game (control the big six have had) means thereās no chance any rules come in that arenāt gamed. The PL has absolutely zero interest in trying to create a fair product
-
Iām definitely in, waiting for final confirmation from my mate whoās meant to be coming up that weekend. Heās said heāll let me know ASAP

Man U have lost a vital part of their puzzle there to take themselves back up into the elite ranks. Heād have sealed it up

Does Obafemi Martins never reference us / visit / have any affiliation with us anymore? A lot of our former players, especially strikers who got a decent number of goals talk very fondly of us but I never hear anything about or from Martins
-
Thatās a real shame. Was a quality poster. I think the negativity on the forum was the key factor and he said he was going to leave recently because of it. Sad to lose a good poster when weāve had an influx of turds in recent times

Textor can join the cunt table.

Itās interesting because weāve underpaid for Gordon, Isak and Bruno by a decent margin
-
Iāll start giving him some credit if and when we bring in these quality players from Europe and other markets at good prices but Howe is far more important to us than him. Does Howe need to be flexible when it comes to player recruitment, possibly or even probably but everything Mitchell does has to be about finding a way of working for Howe. Thereās compromise needed on both sides but itās Mitchellās job to work for Howe (even if he is his boss) and Howeās job to let him do the work for him. Theyāll take a while to trust each other but Iām going to take some convincing on Mitchell for sure and thatāll only come with repeated successful windows

Holding onto our best players while bringing in the calibre of player Brighton have signed in recent years and then keeping them rather than selling them would have us up consistently top four
-
Itās going to take a lot to overhaul our recruitment infrastructure. Weāre clearly miles behind a lot of clubs but itās achievable at least with the right people and processes. I wouldnāt call them digs as such but Iād say that both Howe and Mitchell have spoken in a way as to not take responsibility for the Guehi mess and to partly transfer that responsibility in a veiled way to the other

āWe didnāt have the sales window we thought we would have ā and we have to look at that strategy as well, was that right, it was all aligned with the head coach. We have a lot to look at.ā

The PL is doing an incredible job of destroying itself and the game. Quite remarkable the damage they relentlessly inflict on it
-
It should be added that he has had a few shaky games already this season and even the best professional in the world could lose their motivation after being strung along by their owner like this. Itās clear that he was told that the move was going to happen I think and now Parish is doing damage management. An injury or lack of form and the value takes another hit. Parish might have helped save his āalphaā imagine but heās cost Palace massively
-
If Guehi doesnāt sign a contract extension and is still at Palace in the summer he wonāt be going for anything near Ā£50m in my opinion. Will be in the Ā£30m range. Weāve already seen how cagey teams are about spending money, itās potentially only going to get worse unless regulations change. Chelsea may be fucked by then, Man City may be in trouble too with their legal case. Save for a KSA big bid then Guehi could hold at around Ā£50m in January but itāll be a lot less in the summer
-
I wonder whatāll happen with Tosin. Chelsea will be desperate to sell him to make a profit but if he barely plays theyāre not going to get a significant fee from Europe. Maybe another KSA treat
-
Everyday thereās a new reason for why Amanda went even though the financial situation was clearly unsustainable and is the main reason sheās no longer here
-
I donāt think Mitchell will want to be burnt by Palace again. It either gets sorted at the start of the window in January for a lot less than Ā£70m or he doesnāt come then. Thereās no chance weāre paying that in January and thereās no chance weāre dealing with Palace again unless itās clear theyāre not going to fuck us around in my opinion
-
Canāt seem to find it but Martins rattled the crossbar from like 40 yards out against Chelsea in the league cup back in 2005/6 I think. If someone has a link please post it as I couldnāt find it just now

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

What is wrong with him man. I can understand why Roy keeps going back as he actually achieves things. Why is a manager who has systematically proven himself to be a worse manager with every job heās taken trying to get back into work when heās Rich as fuck?
