  1. The crowd last night, after their goal, was as bad as I have known. The first around me left at 78 minutes and it started an exodus. What was worse it was both season ticket holders and single ticketers. Continuous groans throughout. Unbelievable after the Wor Flags display. Was expecting Wings to let it down but it was phenomenal. My £2 a month is tremendous value for money. It's a shame that about 40000 are happy for the atmosphere to be down to others. The crowd brought us back when we were 4 nil down at home to Arsenal. If it happened again we'd get stuffed 10 nil.
  2. They could play at 12 to give time for the metro across
  3. The Blackburn match has been changed from Sunday 15th December to the Saturday and now clashes with the men playing Leicester. What a crazy, stupid decision. Having 2 teams playing at the same time is ridiculous.
  4. They were a class apart but losing both our centre backs Potts and Cooper before hand obviously didn't help. Great crowd for a cup match and the crowd kept going. Liverpool apparently gave free tickets and coach travel for season ticket holders which meant the biggest away support I've seen at Kingston Park. Amber Stobbs yet again the best player by a mile when she came on.
  5. Yes, I'll be there. Hopefully put in a good performance. Does anyone know any other scores in our mini league other than the Everton draw and penalty loss?
  6. I'm one of the fortunate ones who took out the 10 year deal and I'm only paying £294 for level 7 for each of my 2 tickets. When my daughter turned 21 the club told me I'd have to move or buy another child ticket so I bought one for my grandson 4 months prior to takeover which costs £86. Prior to the '10 year deal' which I think is in its 14th year now I took out the 3 year pay up front offer which reduced ticket prices by 30% and before that the 20% reduction by committing to 3 years of renewals. I am fully aware that my ticket costs will at least double and maybe more so, but just feel really fortunate that I have the tickets secured for my daughter and grandson, whatever the cost is. Whether we stay or move the ride we are on is worth every penny. The euphoria when we win something that I can share in the moment with two different generations of my family is priceless. I love St James and have so many memories but the first time I walk in to the new stadium and feel 5 years old again will be off the stratosphere. I took my daughter to the opening of Wembley in 2007 and she ended up on the front cover of the daily mirror which create an everlasting memory, but to walk into a new stadium with potentially 80000 fellow Newcastle fans will be a memory I will cherish, alongside our Caribou Cup win in 2025, till my dying day. To me football is not only about the present and future, but the lifelong memories created along the way. I have loads of wonderful St James Park memories, but I'm happy to create new ones in Leazes Park. I was at the Stack night on Wednesday and the location was described as not to far to snap an elastic band so that can only mean Leazes Park. We should all get behind the move and create as many memories as we can to share with as many people as possible. Unbelievably this was over 17 tears ago and she still comes with me. I just love it, love it!! Lets have loads of seats and create as many memories to share with those closest to us. We should all be behind this. We all have tremendous memories of the Keegan days, Man U, Barcelona, Tiote's equaliser, PSG etc and they won't fade. But the creation of new ones, in hopefully the best stadium on the planet whilst walking post Eddie's statue every matchday as the first manager to win a trophy, will be equally exciting. Bring it on.
  7. Out of interest, is anyone else going to St James on Sunday for the Southampton game
  8. Tried watching both games together and spoilt both of them!!!!!!!!! The lasses not at the races today. No cutting edge and, for most of the game, devoid of ideas. Fortunately with the London lionesses losing we haven't lost any ground. 2 points off the top if we win our game in hand. Very tight and all to play for but need to start to come up with some patterns to open defences.
  9. Sorry, this may be unpopular, but I would rather stay put and keep my season ticket. I did nearly give it up in the dark days but it was a chance to spend time with my daughter, now 25, that I would have lost it I'd gave them up. Now my whole life revolves around the club and love every minute of it. It's hypothetical because it won't happen but do hope the guys who gave them up during the last regime have first option. However anyone who thinks Eddie should leave should be banned from applying. Social media and forum posts should be historically checked and a big black mark should be put against all none Howe believers, even if there are empty seats.
  10. Cracking result. Bit like us dropping points against Durham and Charlton This league will go to the wire Any team that put 3-4 wins together will be very difficult to catch. Hope the luck lasts
  11. 1 nil. Shania hayles Great start
  12. Found it. It's in Birmingham's YouTube channel as blues women against Blackburn rovers
  13. The sending off really changed it. In Amber's defence there was maybe 1/2 a second between the whistle and the kick, but this ref was a law unto herself. Charlton were the best team we've played but we had them until injury time. If games in hand are all won, by all teams, we are still only 2 points from the top so still happy with the season to date. Not holding it against Amber for the draw as she's led superbly this season until today. Onwards and upwards.
