  1. The 6 points lost to Charlton and Durham at home cost us massively. If we'd won those like we should have it would have been up there
  2. I remember what Openc said and it's totally true. Last year wasn't the same even though there was always 3-4 from the previous year playing each week. I do believe that if Pottsy and Elysia Boddy had been fit this season we would have really been knocking at the door. I think that's why I'm so surprised that Amber has gone as she really drove the team on the pitch and worked tirelessly for the club off it. Really strange.
  3. Really surprised about Amber. Wonder if it was mutual or not. Hannah Greenwood made the decision not to renew according to her Instagram so I'll be surprised if Amber hasn't done the same. She was one of the few that gave 7/8 outof10 every week and was my player of the season. I agree with 54 about Katie Barker and can't understand why she wasn't given the same type of send off that Grace received especially by generally being the face of the club over the last 3 years. With the turnover of players I am over the moon that PSR has prevented us doing the same with the men's team. I found this last season more difficult than the previous two as changing 6 or 7 first teamers took away alot of the enjoyment. Makes you really appreciate the coaching that Eddie has done to improve the original guys and have them playing well beyond their previous level. I'm going to blame Paul Mitchell for this as I never liked him.
  4. The 3 rounds were all the same format so in fact it is like 3 separate 20 question quizzes in one night. With plenty of time we should all get 15-20 correct but the 10 second time limit causes chaos. There are several question types Name the player off a photo. The questions are read out and also the photo comes on your phone. You then have to select the first letter of the player's christian name. One question I can remember was a photo of Trevor Chalabah. I knew it was Chalabah straight away but by the time I realised he was a Trevor and found the T icon on my phone the time was up Name the club off the crest. Again first letter of the club Guess the year Name a goal scorer Total number of goals in a game As I said before an entertaining night but you're up against students who are much quicker than me with far better memories. I'll definitely go again with my wife and enjoy taking part but can't see me ever having my name up in lights! Matthew Raisbeck was a quality quizmaster and he didn't belittle or embarrass anyone.
  5. I went over last night. I enjoyed it but failed dismally. It works through an app and you only have 10 seconds to answer with points on correct answer and speed. £5 entry per team and 26 teams last night. 3 20 question rounds and £330 split between the 3 rounds. Had a great night but I've got an old head and I'm not fast enough against the other teams. Finished 14th, 18th and 16th but had a great night.
  6. Has anyone been to Matthew Raisbeck's Football Quiz at Stack? Just wondered if it it worth a night out
  7. Nickson and Eddie all the way. Neither Ferguson or Wenger had a D of F and I don't believe Eddie needs one either. PIF obviously have Howes back and I for one am delighted.
  8. It was more the case Amanda got the blame for last summers sales.
  9. I'm really reserving judgement on Mitchell. I've been Team Eddie from the start and believe Mitchell was happy to upset the applecart when he came in by slagging off the systems and people and, with no inside knowledge, I presumed it was because he wanted his mate Poch in. There is nothing to base this on other than gut feel. Eales has had an easy ride as the PSR over spend was on his watch and he manoeuvred the blame on Amanda and Mehrdad and remained unscathed. Eddie performed wonders and neither Eales or Mitchell have achieved anything for Newcastle yet. The next 10 weeks will be very interesting as to whether they are as elite in their roles as Eddie is in his. I hope they are.
  10. Arsenal play Liverpool next. They could be 4th after we beat them
  11. Finishing the weekend off with a trip to Kingston Park. What a fortnight its been.
  12. Registered our interest. I'm taking part in everything I can and enjoying every single part of it, even booked a days holiday. Should be no negativity. Every thing Sela done has been professional and entertaining. Really looking forward to it.
  13. Hope there's phone signal on Wembley Way
