  1. It wasn't noticeable last year when all was going well but it's rather blatant now. Anita was the only one I saw trying to get everyone going again immediately after the first goal but nobody looked interested in it.
  2. We'll very likely win with a weakened team playing. Southampton next week is infinitely more important and should be the immediate priority. For what? A chance of a trophy vs a chance to be also rans in a three horse race? Note the post I responded to initially. You stated that the Southampton match is more important. So, again, where do you think we'll finish in the league this season? As I've already answered that, here's one for you. If we played the kind of team we usually play on Thursday, do you think we'd win? You haven't answered so i'll defer your question until you do. Where do you think we'll finish in the league this season? So boring, man. Needlessly childish.
  3. Suarez puts in red card challenges most weeks and never get booked. The inconsistency annoys me more than the pettiness.

  5. A red card would put someone out of the next round, wouldn't it? And a potentially far more important game against Bordeaux. Give your f***ing head a shake man. Should we leave players out of premiership games in case they get suspended? More drama queens. I give up. If anyone thinks this game is going to make or break our season then they're incapable of reasoning. We're 4 points clear of 3rd and we're doing just fine with the "kids" playing. Meanwhile we're spiralling out of control in the league. Priorities, innit. Ask yourself, numbnuts, has this rotation policy aided our form in the league? Do you think we would have done worse in the competition we have no chance of winning if we had played our first team in the competition we have a chance of winning? The league form has very little to do with what the kids are doing on a Thursday night. You're believing the Pardaganda. We're top of the group and unbeaten. If you want to win this trophy so much then this should please you.

A chance of a trophy vs a chance to be also rans in a three horse race? Aye, that's EXACTLY the position we're in going into Thursday. Some drama queens in this thread Where in the premiership do you think we'll finish this season? It's all up in the air, same as it is for most teams. And for the record I think we've got as much chance of winning this trophy as we have winning the league unless we do something fairly drastic in January.

  9. "Obertan has got a toe that we needed to sort out, so there has been a manoeuvre on that which put him out today and probably for Maritimo as well. He might be back for Southampton." "Jonas, we think will be back on Thursday. He was close (to facing Swansea) - we were deciding on whether to play him...but we felt it was too risky."

  11. Of course all this "play the strongest team!!" stuff would be quietly ignored if we picked up an injury or a suspension...

  13. We've got too many games coming up (10 before January 1st) with too many injuries already to be playing important players in a meaningless match. The "kids" have done well enough so far and they'll be fine on Thursday.
  14. Hopefully his current success and yesterday's result makes him feel vindicated after Pardew's treatment of him.
  15. He wouldn't have played if Oberton was on the bench. Purely circumstantial.
  16. Sorry if I've missed something but what's the problem with Woodman? Krul's kicking. It's worse now than it ever has been and it's infuriating.

    Alan Pardew

He's as bad as Joe Kinnear with what he says. Pardew just doesn't swear so it sounds better.
  18. Probably the worst sentence I've ever read in any form of literature. You're not reading your own posts? Interesting. I think I do. I DEFINITELY think I might read them. Definitely will on 2/3/2016. (probably) See you next week, Dave-o.

  20. If Stone Cold Steve Stone is our attacking coach he can go with Woodman.
  21. I can't hate him as I know he's trying his best. It's not his fault he's playing every week. For the last 2 years.

    Alan Pardew

Bringing on Bigirimana and playing for a 1-0 sums him up. Time is running out, Alan. Also notice he didn't wave to the fans in the first half
  23. If we'd have scored one of our chances before they scored we'd have won. What happened after their goal however... I was a bit apathetic at the end as I/we expected all this to happen. Is there an "Andy Woodman Out" thread? I'd love to bump it if so.
