  1. I also thought that would be the case but I think the horse shit Pardew comes out with will be my entertainment for this season. He's letting his mouth go now and we all know he'll be blowing out of his arse within the first 3 month of the season starting. It's Pardlovian Conditioning. 1. Cocky and arrogant before the season starts (optional fan abuse) 2. Excuses from game 1 till game 36 (optional fan abuse) 3. Kissing our arses from game 36 to 38 to save his job (optional owner blame) Works perfectly every season on what seems like the majority.
  2. Bigging up the squad strength which will be deemed too weak in October.

They're in nowhere near as bad a situation on the pitch as most are saying. They've already replaced Lambert and Lallana and there's hype around a young left back they already have. Now only need to replace Lovren and Chambers, who wasn't exactly a regular last year.

Or 2 wins away from mid-table while QPR were 2 wins away from safety. It didn't put off the other Internationals we signed that window anyway and none of them got relegated or looked like mercenary frauds. I'm not even that fussed about signing him, but to make this about him being a mercenary is just laughable. How is his attitude any different to the way we run our football club? You say that like nobody despises the way we're being run. But as that is how we are run, then what's the point in criticising players for looking out for themselves first? When Remy was on our books he was perfectly professional and did a good job for the most part. Not sure why I have to accept the actions of a player because it resembles something I hate.

When did Ajax last win anything worth winning? 1995? And Lille had 1 very good season in about 50 by the looks of it. Hardly Messi joining Olham, is it? When have we won anything? When was the last time we where in the CL? If the Eredivisie means nothing it's because of money. As a club we are European minnows. We benefit from being in the richest league of them all meaning we can afford higher wages than 90% of European teams. The fact is if anyone bigger and better than us were in for Cabaye and De Jong etc at the time, they'd all have gone there instead of us. We were the best team in for them at the time and they decided to move. The possibility of them subsequently earning moves to better teams than us is a natural part of football, especially when a club like ours refuses to grow with the star players. Not every transfer is Machiavellian. Remy went to a worse club purely for more money, which he acknowledged by putting loads of relegation release fees into his contract.
  8. Looks to be bloody exciting off youtube stuff. Him and Sterling on the wings should be a joy to watch. both of them are starting tonight. I didn't need to hear this at 11pm on a Sunday night
  9. Aye, I explained that badly. I'm assuming they'll be doing 1 up top like they started with last year which makes him the Aspas of last year. They definitely need someone else up there for the 50+ games they'll probably be playing.

  11. If you ignore transfer fees they've done some good work this summer. Can looks like a much, much better Henderson, Lovren is more suited to the style Rodgers wants to play and Lambert is a very reliable 3rd striker, which they didn't have last year. Looks quite exciting on paper/screen... Sturridge Markovic Llama Sterling Gerrard Can

He wanted to come to put himself in the shop window, don't delude yourself thinking any different. All these players would leave the minute a better opportunity arises. There's no difference between Remy and the likes of Cabaye, Debuchy and Ba who all left the minute a better position was available to them. Well except that Remy was never our player anyway, the entire squad would leave if they got a better offer. None of those players mentioned turned us down for a worse team purely for more money. That's the difference. We knew what Remy was like before he signed. No one else was in for those players thats why. Debuchy only came coz Cabaye was here, Cabaye wanted out after a season and we all know about the clause stuff with Demba Ba. So they didn't in fact turn us down to join a worse team for more money? They simply joined better teams eventually after earning it, like what's been happening for a hundred years?

Someone playing well enough to earn a move upwards is not the same as someone turning down a team to join a worse, better paying one. Night and day.

Yes. Winning games isn't the only thing that matters to some fans. Hope they bring Shola back for you then. He loves it here. Poor. Very poor.

This isn't true at all. For the vast majority of players, give them an environment they enjoy and and they'll reciprocate. We've had loads of players over they years who were far better than Remy will ever be and they still treated the club with respect and talk about us fondly. If you sign professional players, they'll act it. If you sign self important cunts, they'll act like one. true but ones that genuinely love the club they're playing for in the same way as a fan does and wouldn't leap at the first opportunity of champions league level money are rare at best. I don't expect anyone to love the club. There's a large gap between being a mercenary cunt and getting loads of NUFC tattoos.

Nothing wrong with his attitude on the pitch and seemingly in training. Commitment? He's a committed player. Career-wise - why would he be committed to NUFC? He asked not to play vs Liverpool in case he got injured. Ideally, we shouldn't be going anywhere near him but we will.
  21. He's in there on the basis of him moving to Man Utd, which would make him a bargain at 5.0 imo.
  22. Do you really think so? Would be a massive achievement that. Maybe not 15+ due to tactics etc but I can see him being our top scorer if nothing else changes. A few cameos off the bench to start with then he'll force his way into the team and our hearts. Really a guy is going to go from Tenerife to scoring that many in the premier league....he will be lucky to get 4 or 5 http://i.imgur.com/lGHt7kX.gif

  24. Despite his haircut, Ayoze will bag 15+ given the chance.
  25. http://i.imgur.com/N2mCXh8.png Might bottle it with Ini Ayoze if we sign a 1st choice striker. Vermaelen is out if he stays too.
