Get lost, man. It's a reason why there are almost no playmakers in the PL. And the few that exists, spends most of their time in the injury room, eg Fabregas and Arteta. I think the toughness of PL could explain some of that absence. It's important to rotate players according to the opponents we're up against. Away against City is not the place we should take three points anyway. Why risk him? Because we should try and get three points wherever we go, you can't approach the game with a "oh well we'll probably lose this anyway so no need to play our best players" attitude.

I heard a very vague rumour somewhere that you guys were open to letting Abidal leave, have you heard about that? Assuming it's just paper talk tbh.
-
Where will he play? Left-wing? I expect him to be deployed on both wings, but mostly left yes. Our front three are pretty fluid anyway. Well, I must admit I haven't seen him play outside of the last WC and this Copa América but for what I have heard I'm pretty excited to see him turn out for us, might add some explosiveness to our attack that sometimes we miss. Better option than Pedro for sure. What's the situation with Bojan at the moment, is he on his way out? I can only assume you don't watch Barca much, Pedro's mint. Sanchez gives them better depth as another top quality option across any of the front 3 positions, which is what they needed really. Have you been in for any defenders, VI? We have been mildly linked with a few, mostly bargain buys (Botía, José Ángel, Capdevila), we need more bodies in there so I hope we get somebody. We have a number of good prospects playing for Barça B (Bartra, Fontàs, Montoya, Muniesa), so I hope one or more of them can become first team players. Someone like Jose Enrique would be pretty good for yo.. oh fuck.

Yeah I think it was a bit of an exaggeration by me there

to be honest a lot of the games I've seen him play he hasn't exactly stood out, but then at times he does show flashes of brilliance. I can't remember who Arsenal were playing but there was a game last season when they were desperately searching for a goal and Bendtner beat a defender to a long ball, controlled it superbly, turned another defender and then hammered it past the keeper. He looked so determined to score. I think if he was in the right frame of mind he could still become a very good player. He is only 23 afterall. I think with a consistent run of games up front he could get a bit of momentum going and maybe even notch 15-20 goals. Undeniably would be a bit of a gamble though. To be fair that goal against us in the league cup was pretty good, just leathered it in I was just sitting there like really? Did he just do that? I don't know, I think his determination is admirable, but to me he's very hit and miss and reminds me of Shola. Decent once every 10 or 15 games. As you say though, he is still young. I'd still wish him all the best and support him if he were to come here, I'd just assume we could get better with our funds available to us right now.

I see your point. The step down from Arsenal might be what it takes to reign in his ego a bit too, which could in turn see a better, more focused player. I just don't rate him at all personally and would probably get mocked ridiculously at work if we sign him
-
Good question. I guess I would settle for him on deadline day if no other striker had been signed. I'd still be quite annoyed really. Everytime I see him, he's turboshit. My 2 Arsenal mates at work who watch him a lot more regularly than myself despise him and they gleefully hope we'll end up with him.
-
Why is there so much love for Bendtner, honest question.
-
Would probably make more sense for Vuckic to take over "the Ben Arfa" role. Anyway as loads have said, was gutted when I saw this news. It was actually the catalyst for a really shit day tbh Hope he's just back as soon as possible, really wanted to see him at Arsenal.
-
Think that might be a Campbell scenario all over again tbh. We have the funds for a decent left back, there's simply no excuse.
-
I like the look of that line up. Though Id like to see us get Bendtner in there instead of Ba Have a word with yaself ffs.
-
An interesting idea, however it would be little better than the SPL in my opinion. Playing each other more than twice to fill out the season would get very stale, especially with the same teams year in year out. So that's a no from me!
-
Genuinley couldn't believe that when it happened, my mate and I went ape shit and he managed to almost tip me over the stand in his celebration.
-
Seriously why? I think he'd blossom when given a lot of 1st team football. Could suit our play quite well imo. And tbf he's been played wide left or right a hell of lot, played regularly through the middle he could be great, its his work rate that gives me doubts though. So not the fact that he misses from 3 yards out that gives you doubts? He's a white Shola ffs man
-
All those new pages, I thought he'd signed. Fuck sakes. Once again we have a gamble by the club, getting in Marveaux on the cheap who's unproven vs getting in Insomnia who's proven but costly (in Ashley's eyes). That's how I see it anyway, so just have to see if it's a gamble that works. I'm not overly fussed we haven't/don't appear to be landing Zog tbh.
-
he did indeed, 6 league goals 3 league cup goals (and iirc 2 were vs chelsea there) Yeah, his pass-shot and gigaheader were magic in that game.

Strange one last night. We were playing Sunderland and before the game started, me and my mum wanted a McDonalds, (btw this isn't indicative of how much of a charva I am, swear down). Conveniently, this McDonalds was owned by some mackems and was next door to my house! So we ordered then popped back home. Anyway the game was a nervy 0-0 for ages, but I was seething because my McDonalds never turned up. So at half time I went back in to get my food, gave some shit to the staff and eventually got my food as the fine establishment was closing. Apparently football operated in a different timeline, as it was still half time. Was still 0-0 about three quarters into the game and then I woke up. Awesome.

Thing is, you know if Rooney and Tiote's goals had been reversed, Rooney's would still get all the plaudits because of who he is. I still honestly believe Tiote's was the better goal because of the circumstances and everything. Rooney's goal is still good btw I'm not slating it Absolutely not. Rooney's was a nigh on perfect overhead kick, fantastic technique. Was a rather special goal as well, the winner in a derby between two of the best teams in the country at the moment. Fair enough, I get what ya saying but gona have to agree to disagree with that one

Rio's just trying to keep it real man. #hater

Tiote, Ben Arfa and Barton for me also. I remember seeing Barton's and it took me about a second to realise it actually went in, did not expect it!
