I think today should be a good learning curve for the lad. Remember he is still very young, despite being so confident with the ball and generally an all round excellent fullback. I do however feel he goes too far foward on occasions leaving us with zero cover, pulling Colo wide, creating space for attackers etc. If he can better manage his time spent going forward and tracking back, then he'll be one hell of a fullback for us.

Maybe not? Perhaps Pardew might go with the same side that finished the QPR game, so Raylor and Guthrie in the middle? I hope not. It is no secret that I hate Raylor, but even putting that aside Gosling and Abeid would both be better options in the middle if Cabaye is out. Using Raylor in there is on a par with starting Perch there, although I will admit it is still a better option that Smith. I'd prefer Abeid in the middle, but I just can't see Pardew dropping Raylor unless the guy turns up with a battle axe lodged in his head.
