We need a squad true, but there's no need to make McTominay part of it. I would not be putting McTominay into the XI ahead of Longstaff. Joelinton is a much better player than McTominay and he's going to struggle to get back in the team now. We need a top class CM so that ie Longstaff etc. become the squad players, not so that the likes of McTominay become backup to Longstaff.

I don’t think his performances have been any different either; he’s just had a couple of assists in the last couple of games. He drifts in and out of games. It was Arsenal fans’ main gripe with him too. I don’t mind that so much as long as he’s getting goals and assists. He really does need to be scoring more though.
