  1. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10109455/Premier-League-taking-legal-advice-ban-clubs-sponsored-companies-linked-owners.html PL taking legal advice before making the sponsorship ban permanent.
  2. Fuck that. Which current top managers are defensive minded? As has been pointed out previously, a decent manager can be both attack minded AND defensively competent.
  3. Best odds for Fonseca at 21/10 now.
  4. Not to mention us being sponsored by Sports Direct under Ashley.
  5. PIF don’t own Disney, just have minority shareholdings in it?
  6. The proposed new rules would only take effect on any new sponsorship deals, and those already in place like Leicester, Man City etc would be allowed to continue.
  7. Would love Simeone to be ours in a few years time. He’d fuck Klopp over every week- there’d be hell on between them!
  8. Bruce himself has told everyone that he’s been told by the owners to “carry on as normal”….
  9. Wasn’t being looked at for the manager job, was he? Always gonna come as DoF?
  10. End of tonight is the 48 hours?
  11. I don’t understand the logic, as all sponsorship has to be at a fair market value anyway, doesn’t it? It’s already regulated with regards to the amount we can get.
  12. Fook off was it £165. On the club website they range from £45 to £75.
  13. Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal, West Ham…
  14. Gives the Manchester kebab shops time to fire up £8m worth of their finest fare.
  15. Which also means that we have a new manager ready to sign and replace him, according to the Staveley quotes?
  16. He messed Celtic about for sure, leaving them hanging on for weeks before turning them down.
  17. But at the same time, we’re an infinitely bigger club than Bournemouth. Instilling an inferiority complex about every team being bigger and better than us, and fighting against them to form a team ethic isn’t going to work here.
  18. For all we know, the contract given to him by Ashley/Charnley could specifically state he only has to have training on x days per month? Everything is unknown, and we can only compare to well run, professional and proud clubs and their staff.
  19. The point is that some people say he did shit there and some say he did well. The results and points seem to suggest he did inbetween.
  20. Played 87, won 34, drew 19, lost 34, win percentage 39%. His first game in charge of Burnley was away to Scunthorpe on 22 January 2011, which ended in a 0–0 draw. Burnley finished 8th in the Championship in season 2010–11 and 13th in season 2011–12 under Howe.
  21. Anti competitive, as Charnley allegedly pointed out. It’s impossible for some clubs to have these sponsorship deals currently in place, but then refuse to let another club have a similar deal from this point in time onwards. Methinks DeMarco might be earning some more money in the very near future…
  22. But he got them relegated? And couldn’t do anything to prevent it. We’re in the same position- I wouldn’t trust him to know how to turn a failing team around. If we were mid table, then maybe, but I personally can’t see any evidence of him being able to come and instantly change us for the better.
  23. Yes. He seems to not be getting much media attention though. Could be a good thing I suppose.
