I reckon Lucien Favre will be in with a good chance. Out of work, experienced CL manager, demanding, good man manager, eye for flair as well as solidity, and willingness to play young players, and I seem to recall his name mentioned over the last few years with regards the consortium.

The issue is that 6m a year is still 6m that they shouldn’t be offering/paying, seeing as they have to save hundreds of millions off the wage bill. It’s a hell of a lot more than tying a youth player down for that position, which they should be doing whilst in the financial position they’re in.

Isn’t it already established that it was down to lack of disclosure by Beloff? Then after it was noted and Utd objected, he offered to leave to the PL but they turned his offer down?
