Christ. I’d rather have Catts for me, lyke.

I don’t understand. Or agree. Are you trolling? Since 2015, Man Utd have won 4 honours and been runners up in another 4. I’m the same time frame, Villa have been runners up in one competition. It’s pretty obvious that there’s a MASSIVE difference in competition for trophies, club ability/potential, as well as worldwide club size/following (with all due respect to Brummie).

Wijnaldum to PSG confirmed on a three year deal. as for Grealish, I think it’s pretty irrelevant about the transfer fee. If he wants to leave, as like with any player, they hold the cards. The club could always say no, but they won’t want to keep an unhappy player. If they got somewhere around 80m from Man City or Man Utd, I think Villa would let him go, and more to the point, that he’d want to at this stage of his career.

Asking price is allegedly £68m so they’re already working to their reduced finances…
-
Chelsea have bid £56m for Hakimi

Bruce will be gutted they didn’t entrust him to spend that type of money when he was there, despite him being top class and having nearly 1000 games under his belt (or is that pies…?).
-
Regular rotations are seemingly the name of the game at top clubs- they need 20 odd top players to compete in all the cup and league competitions. Unlike our own club whose starting 11 basically picks itself due to lack of competition for places…

He’s 26 this year in Sept. Time to step up and make a move to get playing his best years in a trophy (potential) winning team. I think the contract extension was simply because he felt like he owed the club after coming back up and no one at that time making a move for him. Could be wrong and he be a Le Tissier….but I doubt it.
-
I think he’s ambitious enough to move clubs away from Villa to a team competing for the title. And rightly so. He might not ask for or demand a transfer, but if a CL club came in, of course he’d be interested in moving on for the sake of his career.
-
Know it’s his home club and all Brummie, but if the chance came to go to a Man City or a Man Utd, there’s zero chance he’d pass that up imo, and rightly so. Even if you bought wisely to complement him.

It’s a big ‘IF’ for them to keep Grealish, this summer.
-
Lol….even some of them have questioned why there are so many ‘in peyce’ fans. Of course, it’s explained away by the fact that they are seen as fonts of knowledge around the country, and lesser team fans want to engage with the mighty Sunderland…
-
Title between the Madrid teams then. There’s zero chance he can win the league. Amazed they haven’t given him the boot.

Shhhh…don’t tell our resident Man Utd fan that…. as for the opinions given above, about my previous post, I’ve seen videos and have two mates who were attacked. It’s not tripe or bullshit. However, the media have clearly acted on the whole ‘fans uniting against the ESL’ rhetoric which was popular at the time. The Man Utd fans ‘protesting’ acted appalling, especially compared to the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal.
-
The protests I saw by the Man Utd ‘fans’ had not much to do with the club, and more to do with purposefully going out to assault the police around the stadium because they were ‘scousers’.
-
Bruce is a ‘NUFC fan’, isn’t he….?
-
Point is that Aguero is still younger, obviously. Maybe they think his legs will last longer?

But they went to select PL clubs and asked them to specifically lobby against the takeover, no? That’s not the same as asking the PL to resolve the piracy matter.
-
Be still, my beating heart… ?♂️
-
Hardly the same when NUFC are a member of the PL? Bein are/were merely a business partner.
-
MY head a shake? The reason the ESL was formed was to grab money so that those clubs could afford to overpay even more ‘superstars’ in order to make yet more money off the back of shirt sales, corporate sponsorship, etc. I’d happily not see Ronaldo wearing NUFC colours if it meant that the club was run responsibly and we could afford 2 or 3 other top class players instead, who we could use as a solid foundation for the next 5+ years. The comparisons with signing Shearer in his prime are a nonsense. This isn’t a 27 year old Ronaldo we’re talking about.
-
It’s simply short termism at its finest. Ludicrously expensive contract for an aged player who still performs admirably but is beyond his best years. That extravagant amount of money could and arguably should have been spent on a couple of younger players (or even one Kane type) who would have scored the same goals between them, for less money, and who will stay at the club for longer and provide a better service.

It’s Stifler, isn’t it….?
